Re: MKpanomachine

Destiny there's no GST on goods under $1000 AU still , my 128gig card was just over $200 Au incl postage from b & h , from DDP just over $400 incl postage , for the same CF card , I hope they don't change the import duty on stuff , local companies have to be realistic how much they charge for th...

Re: MKpanomachine

yes these new lenses are getting smarter , Sigma have bought out a lens dock for there new lenses , your lens is too old , the 2 150 to 600 lenses are the first to use it , instead of sending lenses to sigma you download the firmware from there site and do it yourself , Tamron are doing the same , b...

Hi Destiny hope you are well , the 2 SandisK 64 GIG 95MB/S cards came from MSY both slow down after 30 Frames , the 128 gig Lexar that slows down after 24 frames that came from B & H The 128 gig Lexar is a much faster card but is not supported by the D800 , ( The only Nikon Camera that supports ...

Re: MKpanomachine

The biggest problem I have had with using the MKpanomachine compared with the Nodal Ninja NN5 and the Panogear is The D800 it only has one memory card slot that is fast enough, I cannot believe the difference between the CF card and the SD card slots , in Continuous mode on the MK the D800 using Raw...

Re: Best Affordable Zoom/Telephoto Lens Option for a D800

yes they probably have , the VRdrive2 manual it recommends continuous mode for giggapixel photography with appropriate shutter speeds , my 150 to 600 is my main lens on the MKpanomachine , I have tried stop shoot and continuous mode and I agree with what it says continuous mode is much better , no s...

Re: Best Affordable Zoom/Telephoto Lens Option for a D800

Destiny that's a good owners manual that comes with the VRdrive2 isn't it , gives a lot of info , mentions D800 rotating image problem in nadir and zenith did you find that , I had a lot of problems with stitching when I turned of auto rotation in camera , VRdrive2 and MKpanomachine must look at pho...

Re: Best Affordable Zoom/Telephoto Lens Option for a D800

Well klaus sorry for the delay in getting back , yes I agree about the high contrast light being a problem , we try to keep away from 10am to 3pm If we can , What do I think my MKpanomachine , I will say it's not suitable for taking pictures of wind generator turbine blades with 800 mm lens , that's...

Re: Best Affordable Zoom/Telephoto Lens Option for a D800

Klaus I have only had it for a week ,so I am still working it out , it's been very windy in Adelaide lately which has not helped with panos , It's much faster than the panogear and so it should for the price Ha And I really like the continuous mode , packs up really small fits in the laptop slot in ...

Re: Best Affordable Zoom/Telephoto Lens Option for a D800

I must admit Destiny I like it using AA battery's ,they are so easy to get , I Guess if the internal battery in your VR drive fails you would have to dismantle it and send the battery to a battery place and get it repacked , you can actually end up with a higher capacity battery doing that sometimes...
