Destiny looks like one of the sigmas just don't get the old model , or you could do what I did with my 70 - 200 vr1 Nikon $2500 sold a couple of things +birthday money saved and lay bye for 3 months and get new model Nikon 80 - 400 vr , that vr drive 2 is that a roundshot had a look at there web sit...

yes i forgot about zoom creep the sigma 80 to 400 suffered with that, every time i tried to photograph birds in flight i had to hold the zoom ring so it would not fall back in if i had kept it i would have used hose clamp on it , i am swapping over to fx i have nikon 50 1.8 tamron 90 macro lens tamr...

destiny the old nikon 80 to 400 had the same problems as my sigma very slow af .a better built lens but more expensive, again good for robot, or bird glued to tree or prefocus setup , I had a play with the new one a while ago now that's a good lens but as you say very expensive still probably not as...

destiny the 300 f4 is an fx prime lens it is not a zoom lens its a good lens but its bit old no vr a lot of people think it should be updated ,most birders like 300 f2.8 or longer ,i found my 80 to 400 sigma not long enough and too slow focus that's why i sold it, but it was sharp thats why it would...

when you get it let me know how you find it , and how well it performs on panogear robot for gigga pixel photography ,compared with 70 - 200 and tele converters ,i had an 80 to 400 lens once now i regret selling it would have been perfect for robot oh well cheers destiny have a nice day
