It is possible to change the 'pulse high width' value, in the plugin config, but it is limited to 1000ms (1s), Is it enough? I can increase the max value, if needed (something like 9999ms, for example). If you are doing long bracketed auto exposures then even 9999ms may not be enough to cover the t...

I've got the Samyang 8mm FE and for the price it is extremely good for panos. There is some CA around the edges of the frame but not excessive, it's sharp and has a ridiculous DoF even wide open :) . Any fisheye can suffer from flare but I haven't found it a real problem so far even shooting directl...

As I understand it sound and video assets, linked with a tour, cannot be embedded - so how wouold you handle those? I would make a page on wordpress with a reasonable picture of the pano and a description which then linked to a standalone page of the real pano with full screen options etc. Wordpres...

I use wordpress for my photographic site and use the embed option in APT then it is a simple case of wrapping the code inside an object statement. Look at the source code on this page http://www.photosbykev.com/wordpress/photography/landscape-and-waterscape/panoramic/derelict-cow-shed/ it should loo...

I tend to favour the Arduinos because I play with them a lot and have little or no experience of other µ-controllers :) I would probably house the Arduino and BT module in the same box with RJ11 connectors in/out and a couple of jack inputs/outputs for whatever I fancy. I'm probably running before ...

Merlin and Arduino expansion idea

Hi, I've been chatting with Claude via email about setting up the Merlin/N800/BT module and the topic came around to getting a positive response from the system that the camera had physically fired during a pano sequence. Obviously the papywizrd can automate firing the camera but for a number of rea...

The cheap copies of the Canon N3 plug do have a tendancy to slide out slightly and lost the connection to the camera. A piece of electrical tape around the body and over the connector is a cheap fix. The best alternative is buy an original Canon remote release with a latching plug and cut the cable ...

Quaint residence needs some TLC

I should of been an estate agent :) A small derelict cow shed on Anglesey. Canon 7D, Samyang 8mm f3.5 fisheye on a NN3 with an ez-leveller all sat on a Gitzo CF tripod. 6 around -15, zenith +60. Bracketed -2, 0, +2 processed in Photomatrix, CS4 and APG. I need to sort out the best way to support the...

You can use the "v2.1.16-1" , except for the small bug you mention, this work "perfectly" :)

Thank you Claude :) The fun begins when the N810 turns up I haven't played with Linux for about 10 years and even then I was just dipping my toes into the water to see what it was about lol

Which version are you using? I fixed this link (didn't check under Windows, but it works fine under gnu/linux). This was in the stable v2. In v2.1.16-1 Help goes to the SVN, About Papywizard doesn't show any dialogue box , About QT is correct. regards Kev ps on installing the Windows 2.1.16-1 first...

Biting the Bullet and ordering a system

Hi, after reading through pages and pages of threads, it is addictive reading, and the wiki could someone clarify exactly what I will need to purchase: in order to use Canon 7D and 40D camera with a range of lenses from 8mm fisheye or a Canon 10-22mm or 17-40mm lens for spherical panos upto much lar...

I can understand the desire to get the maximum DoF in each shot but it tends to result in a softer image because of defraction limits The diffraction resulting from using very small aperture is not a problem when the final pano is not rendered full-size . When you can shoot as many views as you nee...

my immediate guess would be you are trying to display images that have Adobe RGB color profiles. You need to convert the Tiff files to sRGB colorspace before they will display correctly in most browsers.

When I've played with focus stacking I was getting the best results when I set the aperture to optimise the lens sharpness, typically 1-2 stops from fully open.
