I'm doing the same thing, but in Photomatix Pro I'm using exposer blend mode (its called fusion in the latest release) Some where along the way the EXIF data is lost. Here's my work flow, process the bracketed images in ACR with out any adjustments and convert to 16 bit tif. ACR is supposed embed th...

Rendering a 50 image pano, what's happening to all of the extra pixels

First, I'm very new to APP, and creating pano's in general, but I'm slowly learning. As I posted in a earlier thread, just rendered a 50 image pano, 5 rows of 10 images per row with a 85mm lens using a spherical pano head. Rotating 5 degrees per shot gave me a overlap of close to 50% in the horizont...

In render settings, relationship between size and DPI

There isn't much documentation about this. In render settings, what are you using for the DPI setting. What does this setting do/mean? Isn't this a setting used in inkjet printing? OK, if I set the size at around 30% and go with DPI of 360 the rendered print size is about 26x18 allowing me room to c...

You really need to have a second stand alone hard drive for APP to use as a scratch drive? I use a 160 GB SATA II that I use as a scratch for PhotoShop or for APP, better yet, two drives set up in a Raid 0 configuration with a hardware Raid card. I never have both programs running at the same time, ...

I just processed a 50 shot 5 row HDR pano of a night scene of a classic turn of the sentry 3 story building lit only by the street lights. For each frame there were 5 exposures each one stop apart. First I batch processed the 250 exposures in Photomatix pro, this gave me 50 HDR images. I then brough...

Question about the point (plane) of focus for a multiple row pano.

When shooting multiple row pano of a large 3 story building using a spherical pano head. Can I have more than one focus point? When facing the building from 45 degrees to the side, when shooting the first and last frames, these frames will have a different point of focus from the closest part of the...

Thanks, that explains why I can't find such a book. Is stitching that new? Maybe I should add Digital Stitching. Or, is it a fact that we enjoy so much more computing power and memory, at such a low price, in just the last few years, that its only now possible for software like APP to evolve so quic...

OK, I see that Orthographic stitching is not currently offered, possibly in a future release.

Orthographic stitching question.

Is possible to this mode by repositioning the camera horizontally and still rotate vertically forming multiple rows? I'm using a spherical pano head and tripod.
I guessing that it won't work that way, but?

How does HDR mode work in APP?

Can someone explain how the HDR color mode works? Or point me in the right direction as to where I can find a explanation.

I assume that the temp files are currently on my C: drive right now, which is only 160 GB SATA II. I don't keep any data files on C: drive, but there can't more than 100 GB of open space left. I have made one pano that had 62 images, seemed work just fine, but hard drive are cheap. How do I find out...

Saving AAP files as 16 bit embedded .PSD .PSB

I'm new to AAP but not to Photo Shop. I just made my first stitched pano the other day, saved it as .PSD After opening the file in PS, the first thing I noticed was all of my stitched images didn't looked stitched at all, I could see borders that were lighter or darker things that weren't matching u...

The largest image so far was about 1.8 GB, that was a .PSB file for PS. I have noticed my PC getting a little slow when working with these large files, but I haven't switched the temp files in AAP over to my scratch drive yet, I will do so tonight. I assume that the temp files in AAP are cleared whe...

Question about APP temp files on a different drive.

I have a dedicated internal HD for a PhotoShop scratch drive (80 GB 7200 rpm SATA II). When I have APP open, PhotoShop and all other app's are closed. Could I use my PhotoShop scratch drive for APP temp files?
