Brian - you say "hundreds-of-gigapixels", so I think it's safe to assume that you're talking about a minimum of 200GP, yes? And I'm also assuming we're talking about "real" sizing here, and not some of the nonsense that's been created in the past? OK. First off. Putting the computer hardware to one...

Forcing APG to read exig on single import

So just trying a new aproach on a tricky enough pano... I've got a solid grid laid out with good RMS and plenty of CPs. I'm importing a couple of single images now but each time I import using the 'add images' button APG decides NOT to read the embedded exif data, and instead reverts to exif from th...

if this is for a big panorama rather than exporting all the layers and creating a ridiculously huge file, just marquee and copy&paste missing boat in from original camera file onto your single layer APG exported file.
That might save you a couple of hours

RIght, finally getting a render done but it's with a brand new pano file. The original one had been through 2.6.1 and 2.6.2 and maybe 2.5.2 and either the jumping through the versions corrupted it in some way or it is corrupted would seem to be the obvious answer on it. I got a clue about that here ...

We want to shoot a 360° Gigapixel from top of the "Kitzbüheler Horn" - but as there is a broadcast tower on the very top of the mountain we need to move aroud this tower to get the 360° done ... ;-) Just looking at this quickly it seems reasonably straightforward. if you pick 3 shooting positions g...

How much space do you have on your temp folder disk?

Ram shouldn't be an issue

certainly can appreciate that - but that's hardware and fully understood
But in the instances of speedier test shots or required speedier turnarounds I'm examining what's possible solely within the software. Anyone>?

Optimising Render Speeds

So I'm processing some large +300 image pano for some testing and I'm trying to lower the render times. I'm aware that computer hardware is the key for this but going beyond that I'm looking to optimise the render in APG So I have some ideas that i think might help, but just wondering if they're rig...

Restarted several times, each time pano file opened very quickly, and same problem with browse folder. Final time, pano file opened slowly and staus...

well it's handling the 500+ images already in stitch then crashes consistently on add images> browse folder. I saw the Win7 solve as well, but its hardly applicable

thanks

Many thanks Georg - I am wondering though whether I would even need to do a find/replace on the file though. If I just open it up, but the hard drive that the images were stored on no longer exists, can I just repoint to the new folder, and it will find all images, or would I need to go through eac...

2.6 RC Blending options

So the new RC seems really nice though I'm having one serious sticking problem with how it renders some sky. v2.5.2 did a really good job before on this specific project, and I've tried a multitude of variation in blending and just not getting satisfactory results with 2.6 on this sky. And the onscr...

no to hijack the thread, but some good information on how colour is handled by the programme throughout would be useful as APG seems destroy considered colour. I cant find any colour management options anywhere whereby APG would bypass its own colour options and just use the embedded space - which w...
