Hi Bo, looking at the bottom picture of your panorama with the tripod it seems to me that the Nodal point isn't correctly set. If you have the correct Np the picture of your panorama head should form a perfect circle. Have a close look at the picture below and you'll see for yourself. I had similar ...

Klaus, the price for the Epic is 895$ plus 60$ for shipping. As of today this makes 701,42 Euros. Add 3,7% customs to these 701,42 Euros and you are at 727,37 Euros. Now add 19% VAT ans you are at 865,57 Euros. I called German customs and let them check the Gigapan website. They told me it was only ...

I hate to spoil the party but considering the fact somebody wants to start using the Merlin you need a smartphone like the Nokia N900 a BT-module or the optional touch-controller which costs another 299 Euros, to control it. In all you pay 895 Euros for this option. Now the Gigapan Epic Pro costs 83...

Thank You Kolor! Autopano is really superb!

Hey guys from Kolor. Thanks a lot for creating such a wonderful software. I was looking through my pictures I took during a visit to Iceland some years ago to finish my photo-book. Just for fun I put the whole bunch of pictures (almost 2000) and let APP check for panoramas. During my trip to Iceland...

I just experimented with the pictures for this panorama. As the sky was almost white I used the magic wand in PS ant set the tolerance to 20% and a soft corner with a radius of 2px. I altered all 16 images with the same settings and voilà  APG did a wonderful job. It would be nice to have some kind ...

mediavets thanks for posting this link. The Gigapan Epic Pro is surely interesting. You don't need extra devices to program it, no hassling with Bluetooth and organizers. I think the price they charge you is fair. In Germany they charge you a customs fee of 3,7% on the liisted price + costs for ship...

Hi Thomasz, I still have a few days over here in Peru. Every day I could take 5-10 new panoramas, but it is also interesting only to walk around and just look at all those impressive things over here. When I returned home I'll finetune all my panoramas as I did only a quick rendering with APP. Inter...

Actually I'm in Lima and have already made some panoramas. As I have access to a computer over here I brought autopano with me on a USB Stick. The program runs pretty good from the USB Stick. But I have to register the program every time I reuse it. But that is no problem. Below I have a few raw ren...

I use the Samyang on a Nikon D700. I placed the camera on a tripod and hooked the camera to the Nikon software Camera Control Pro 2. I could focus the Samyang on the screen of my notebook and also make all the test shots I wanted. The Result was that the distance scale of the lens is way off reality...

Paul the panorama from Vienna was stitched with APP and then I processed it with KrPano tools to do the zoom in effect starting with the little planet view. To have thew picture on your desktop you can do a screenshot. When the pano has fully loaded you can try different views of the pano yourself. ...

Adrien I entered my KrPano tools license which worked pretty well. But APT refuses to take my KrPano viewer license (for 2 domains). So I still have no choice. I have to put the license file for the viewer online.

Swoody, I just tried to get sound into APT. It worked fine for me. I'm on a Mac, too running 10.6.2. I don't think that it has to do with the Kr-Pano license. I didn't find an way to enter my license into APT beta7 anyway. You have to have the relevant Kr-Pano license file in the folder containing y...

Photoshop CS 5

The new version of PS CS 5 which should be available this spring looks very promising. I've found something interesting about it in YouTube. Look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BShE_jS8jLE the interesting part comes at about 4:11 min. And another preview that might help us to patch the Nadir, ...

After reading here I came back to Pano2VR. This software offers many possibilities but sometimes happens to upset me because some things don't work. In my example here http://www.spherorama.de/Antimo/ the sound doesn't stop, after one loop and the planar panorama is of poor quality although the Pano...

Andrea,
as far as I understood this robot from Seitz moves the panoramic head hotizontally. All the vertical adjustments you have to do by hand.
