RICOH 360 Camera

And what if we don't need all this motorized equipment anymore? I found this interesting camera from ricoh https://theta360.com/en/about/theta/ It looks to be an interesting solution.

It looks like this is a problem on all import modules. I made a panaorama with 40 Photos using the Gigapan Epic Pro together with a d800 and a Hasselblad Zeiss 150 mm lens. As Nikon allows you only to put focal data into the setup for manual lenses, that correspond to their older manual lenses made,...

Hi Klaus, Your panorama works nicely on my iPad. Upon accessing your page it loads the panorama even faster than my PowerBook. It is an interesting interesting experience to navigate through the panorama with just your fingertips. There are some Apps available that have very rudimental sticking abil...

And which one - if any - seems 'right' to you?

None of the three settings are convincing, but I think working with the 3rd setting at Level 0 looks promising. But I'm not sure if I can reach the result of APP 2.09.

How is the 'average' user going to be able to cope with that? If you are stitching and rendering large pano images that take a considerable time to render you really don't want to be undertaking a protracted series of trials with such settings before getting an acceptable result. Andrew, you hit a ...

Renan, well the overall look and feel of the beta1 release is very good. All works fine so far. But the settings you have mentioned above are not working. Maybe I've got something wrong. If I move the slider for "levels" to any other position than -2 the option "Anti-Ghost" is deselected. If I selec...

Epic CitadelIt#s

In the iTunes App-store there is a free demo of the game Epic Citadel available. It's only a demo. But if you explore it all virtual tours I've seen so far look like being from yesterday. You navigate with the touchscreen of the iPad and you can turn and walk around with very simple commands. Maybe ...

Hi Klaus, look at the screenshots of my workflow. All you need to do is tell APG to leave out controlpoints above a certain value and you get acceptable results without editing too much. I used all 28 pictures you provided and set the focal length to 10 mm which APG calculated to 20,51 mm. There are...

Hi Klaus, I' d suggest to get rid of the exif info and use the settings of APG instead using the force use a certain focal length if no exif is available. I do this when I use my Hasselblad 150 mm symmar on my d700. I can't specify this lens on my Nikon, because it won't let me choose 150 mm from th...

Hi Klaus, I had no problems stiching your sample images. I had to fix the information of the focal length which showed 50 mm instead of the 20mm Nikon lens you said you were using. I got a RMS of 4.29. I set the detection to gigapixel and high. The stitching error is also visible in APG. The error h...

Experiences with the MK PanoMachine V5 HS

I recently bought a PanoMachine V5 HS. As I plan to do mostly large multi row Panoramas it was important for me to have a good angular resolution (0,1° that is to say 10 stops for just 1°). The PanoMachine gives excellent results. I personally can live good with positioning the vertical steps by han...
