If you can change the 303SPH then I would recommend a Nodal Ninja as a good starter pano head. It is light weight, compact and can easily do the nadir (pointing down) shots for a complete 360 sphere. The 303SPH as said above cannot do this. The NN 5 model perhaps given the use of a 5D mk2. The NN we...

Hi there, Lens selection comes down to how many shots you wish you take for your 360 image. Popular way for virtual tours is to go with a Sigma 8mm F3.5 Fisheye which requires just 4 images around at 90 degree intervals, one nadir image (pointing down) and one zenith (pointing above). Alternate foca...

Just a couple: 1. make sure you properly place the APP temp directory, it should be on a different disk than your system directory. 2. turn off real time AV checks on the APP temp directory. From my other post in this thread I now have spare HDD's to tweak the performance of running APP. PC is runn...

For those looking at storage, another alternative could be the following from NetGear. Not only does it offer RAID0/1 capabilities but also as a media server so that the XBOX or PS3 can access withouth having the PC turned on, a BitTorrent Client and iTunes server. Also no longer do you need to stor...

Awesome! Superb quality images and really like the way that you have tied up gigapan with traditional 360's. Website layout and design is uncluttered and simple. 10/10 :)

New site "pan0.net" using panorama's without user permission

Normally I do not like posting links to other website forums but I wanted to today so that all in the pano community are aware of this plagiarism of individuals work onto a new site without seeking their permission or crediting their work. Over in the panoguide.com forum it has been highlighted that...

Love the tour Klaus and the HDR works nice in the kitchen and the top floor room. That is a great room to have with its open space and balcony. Noticed that when you first exit onto the balcony from the top room, there is no option to return back in, only when you move into the second pano on the ba...

The colours of the balloons and the light of the day are fantastic. To improve upon it I really would spend a few minutes to adjust the horizon so that it was level and also crop out some of the foreground green area so it is not distracting and focus remains with the balloons. Shame the bin stuck i...

@ Claude: Thank you for your advise on NPP and the extra dovetails that are available. I'll give the bracket that comes with the head a try to see how I get on before purchasing a secondary rail. Bought my Nokia 800 on Ebay yesterday so VERY excited in getting the head and BT unit ordered over this ...

Thanks for your reply Andrew.

Would you know about whether the NPP needs to be located or just that the centre of the lens is to be aligned to the centre of the tripod mounting?

Hi guys, Another quick question before I place an order with Pulsar! I will be using a Canon 400D with Sigma 10-20 and Sigma 70-200 lenses and am predominately interested in using the Merlin to take landscapes or architecture as either a standard pano or gigapan. Will the "90 degree quick-release do...

Thanks for the heads up Paul. However in not reading German/Austrian, could you/someone just confirm that I am ordering the...
