And another one :-) Shot -7ev 0 +7ev, tonemapped with the lite version of SNS-HDR, which I just discovered after playing with enfuseGUI and picturenaut, and a small VBScript. http://www.sns-hdr.com/ tonemapping was set to 'dramatic' on the first image, 'interior' on the second and 'natural' on the t...

R.A.W Salbke / Little Planet :-)

Hi,
I made a wonderfull trip yesterday to the 'Reichsbahnausbesserungswerke Salbke' and took 15 nice panoramas, a friend of mine grabbed my DSLR and made about 400 pictures :-)

Here is the first pano, wich looks quite nice in little planet projection.

More to come :-)

http://www.speedtest.net/result/2786404750.png How much do you pay for that connection? Hi Andrew, it's VDSL50 from the german Telekom, costs me about 50€ a month. Hi! Thanks, Christian, for the link, but I managed to get the necessary math implemented in my panohead using a lookup table and some fix point aritmethics :-) You set the angle between the shots on the horizon and it will automatically calculate the reduced numer of shots needed when looking up/dow...

Thanks for the explanation, Georg.
I thought for that you have that small 'render preview' button in APG3? Or is this where it happens?

Thanks a lot! the challenge is not to find or calculate optimal shooting patterns (although it's not THAT easy...), but to get the two small microcontrollers to calculate them. The 2 stepper motors are driven by an Atmel Tiny2313 with only 2 KB ROM, which usage jumped from 68% to 77% just by adding ...

MiniPanoBot new shooting pattern

Hi! Coming from here http://www.kolor.com/forum/t17752-warped-images-in-pano I changed the software on my selfmade miniPanoBot, so instead of only shooting in a grid pattern like the GigaPan I scratched my head to find out how I could calculate more optimal image positions while using my small Power...

Hi Morten,

yes, just add hotspots as you would do in apanorama. If I remeber correctly, there are some options avaiable to alter the hotspots on a map that are not there in a 'normal' panorama, just try it out :-)

Hello!

You dont have to download the plugins, they're built in PtP.

Look at 'Project Properties' - 'Extra', there is a dropdown menu where you can select the available plugins.

Sorry, you're right, i always forget that stupid ads, because my adblocker is blocking them :-) but it's free webspace, so for experimenting it's usefull. My main job has nothing to do with taking panoramas, it's just a hobby,so I try to keep the costs down. But it seems like I will soon start a (ve...

Hi Klaus! I'm using a Canon PowerShot A570is compact camera :-) I think I got the NPP quite good, only on the left top side of the nadir there's misalignment, maybe I touched the setup while shooting .... usually I got a nice 'almost-circle-polygon' at the nadir and the up pointing arrow edge is som...

Hi Klaus!

while writing 360° I actually meant 360x180 ... :-) my mistake! I usually shoot 60 images at 35mm, so i have effectively about 360x160.

Hi! Yes, I know that, that's why I try to optimize the software of my panobot to respect your aspects, but usually it sounds like it is almost impossible to shoot 360° panoramas with the GigaPan and I just wanted to mention that it works most of the time, even if it's not ideal, and if somebody has ...

Hi, you can import 360° panos with the GigaPan import wizard, I just do that all the time :-) And i think it is possible to use that robot for 360° panos, because i have self made robot which shoots the same pattern as the GigaPan ;-) i.e. http://www.museum-herxheim.de/virtuellerrundgangmuseum.html ...

[PTP 1.8.0 Win7 x64] keep aspect ratio for thumbnails does not work

Hi!

If I select the stacked thumbnail plugin and check the 'keep aspect ratio' box, i only can input a width (what's absolutely right), but all thumbnails seem to get their aspect ratio from the first image, so if i mix a 2:1 image with an 16:9, all thumbnails will displayer in 2:1.
