Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

Thanks for the originals Olivier These give better results in APG than the screenshots did above I found the same settings worked best for the real images as for the screenshots - that was Image 3 as reference All Anchors set to gamma+exposure+colour Blending level = 0 gamma slider =1.4 (so differen...

BTW... Can you make your full size images available for testing.. Destiny.. Yes, I have uploaded them on my Orange cloud account. Send me a private mail with your email and I will share. Olivier I would like to have a try with the actual images instead of screenshots. I cannot get the pm to work fo...

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

I had a try with APG 3.7 using screen-scrapes of your 5 screenshots as attached As you can see the initial result using MY default settings was dreadful However, with just a couple of minutes work I was able to get something resembling the PS Elements output you posted - although as you say the PS v...

No problem provided the scene is well lit - it's only +/- 2Ev at most

Photomatix 5 has excellent alignment facilities to cope with slight camera movement between images in the bracketed set

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

Yes...but, the point-n-shoot compact digital camera market is losing out to smartphones very rapidly. Many smartphones have panorama apps available that will assist pano shooting and will stitch in the phone and these apps are are free or very inexpensive. So I doubt many existing point-n-shoot com...

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

I have used APG3.7 since it came out but have not found this degradation in blending - if anything I have seen an improvement I agree with your comment about non-professional photographers though. For reasons of cost and/or simplicity a lot of people have "point and shoot" compact cameras ...

Re: Detecting process bug

I assume you have looked at Google's own Smartphone App for spherical panos (Android 4.2)

Re: Improving Anti-Ghost Overlapping in APG

Sounds like a case for the masking tool

Use the red (suppress) or green (include) markers to click on ducks or parts of ducks as needed.
The masking tool will display the "active" image properly but inactive ones are partly greyed our - see screenshot

Re: Can I force images into a build? [SOLVED]

I'm having an issue with one series of photos I took where some photos for whatever reason are not included in a single group, but instead broken into two groups after using the detect. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qht55df7u7v001w/Screen%20Shot%202014-10-26%20at%2005.43.16.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox...

Re: Problem with Multiple-Viewpoint Gigapixel Pano [SOLVED] [SOLVED]

Thank you Andreas I have constructed a number of 360 panoramas with similar potential parallax issues when constructing these from viewing galleries at The Shard and Centre Point in London and from the Hancock Building in Chicago amongst others where in each case the views in different directions ar...

Re: Problem with Multiple-Viewpoint Gigapixel Pano [SOLVED] [SOLVED]

The end result looks very good I can see you marked this thread as solved (which looks to be the case) but you should document on here how you actually solved the parallax issues that Klaus, myself and others made reference to so that others with the same issues can learn Did you just use APG or was...

Re: difference between preview and rendering: duplicate obje

That looks like quite a major parallax issue - images taken from different viewpoints In particular look at the conical mountain feature just to the left of the base of the tower in both images and see the difference in relative positioning compared with the tower base Switching on "multiple vi...

In that case, in the Render tag, can you test using ISO... In Detection set it to Use hard links... Its strange that the anti ghost is not working here.. Re: Problem with multiple viewpoint -Panorama [SOLVED]

Re: Hard to stitch pano

Hey! Autopano Giga 3.6.3 leads to a garbage stitch on this image set even though the photos are correctly shot round the NPP. If I enable "Layout > Single row or column" then they stitch correctly. Maybe you can use them when tweaking future engine versions. I have included my settings fi...

Re: Panorama is not replaced by a new!

Trying to replace the panorama of the new (corrected) I see that there was a change but in fact, even after re-generation, nothing happens, I see the same old version of the panorama (to change), the only thing that helps is just to remove the old panorama of the project! If you are viewing the res...

Re: Whish list

When autorotation is used on a non-360 degree panorama it starts up slowly and gradually builds up to the f/s specified in the parameters. However, it doesn't slow down gradually when it reaches the other end - it just stops dead

Can it be made to slow down gradually at the same rate it speeds up ?

Re: Spurious message when doing multiple builds in 2.2

This change is due to the cache file. This popup appears when you try to build the project with a new file name or directory name. If Yes, the previous generated project is overwritten an renamed into new one. If No, you'll have the 2 generated projects available. Thanks Benjamin - I understand thi...

Spurious message when doing multiple builds in 2.2

I am in the process of generating a long list of panoramas to be ready for publication on the web for which I was hoping to use Panotour 2.2 (not Pro) They all have the same Controls and delay/rotation attributes but each one has to be examined in the preview (full screen) in order to check the FOV ...

Re: minimum zoom levels in Panotour 2.1 and 2.2

I started using Panotour 2.2. when it came out (not the Pro version) but have hit a snag I can't get the minimum zoom working as I like and as it works in 2.1 On 2.1 the minimum zoom by default filled the screen exactly whereas in 2.2 it is possible to display a narrow strip of the whole width of t...

Re: minimum zoom levels in Panotour 2.1 and 2.2

Aha - thanks for all your work on that Personally I prefer the 2.1 functionality where the zoom is limited by screen dimensions but I can see the full pano view may be attractive to others It is logical behavior for planar images that are typically intended to be seen in their entirety. I think I w...

Re: minimum zoom levels in Panotour 2.1 and 2.2
