canon 500D with tokina 10-17FE@10mm on NN4 for partial panoramas used the EF-S 55-250 and shot both high and low resolution as it was semi freehand (i.e on the NN4 but neither horizontal nor vertical detent were sufficiently frequent, so no definite grid could be taken, so wanted the low resolution ...

London pride tour

A few weekends ago was London pride. I volunteered my services and produced some scenes and partial panoramas for them. Very challenging environment trying to work in the crowds with everyone moving.

Thanks to kolor for the fantastic software!

save the project and open the project file in a text editor. Search for the file name of the image you wish to replace and adjust the name accordingly. Open and render without further optimisation

A Tokina 10-17mm zoom fisheye perhaps? I'll +1 on that. Recently acquired one and the flexibility is good so i can choose the resolution depending on the scenario. CA is definitely present but after correcting in adobe camera raw i dont find it to be a problem. Sharpness is good and minimum focus d...

Tagorama?

Ive seen a few 'tagoramas' where people can view a panorama of a crowd and tag themsevles in it. Does anyone have any pointers on how to achieve this? is it readily achievable on a PTP/krpano panorama?

http://www.kolor.com/blog-en/2011/05/06/panotour-panotour-pro-beta/ at the very bottom says 360 mirror images, so maybe for images captured from one-shot lenses

if you dont like it, you can uninstall and revert to 1.5 . I personally have had zero crashes with PTP 1.6, even when manipulating a 13Gigapixel image

NN4 vertical knob problem

Just took delivery of an NN4, and the knob for the vertical motion comes off! when i loosen this to move the arm vertically, instead of loosening the vertical arm, the knob simply unscrews itself. Does anyone know how to tighten the mounting of the knob? If i try screwing it on super tight it still ...

When mirror lock up is used with papymerlin, the mirror is triggered at the start of the stabilization time, so mirror damping and stabilization happen at the same time. Is there a reason you gave time for stabilization and then further for mirror damping?

This came up a short while ago and i think remains as not an option. The solution i would use is as follows: 1.Build tour with data not embeded. 2.Rename .swf 3.Change parameters and rebuild tour You now have 2 (or more by repetition) .swf files in the build directory which are each reading the same...

hotspot in thumbnail

Ive got a tour with just a few panos and a couple of stills brought up by hotspots. In the thumbnail plugin, id like to include the few stills. I could do this by putting them as their own panos, but id like to have them just pop up on the screen in the same way as they do as regular hotspots. Is th...

I'd be very interested in your thoughts on the speed mode - assuming you could shoot at 1/4000th of a second, what do you think would be the longest focal length lens you could use on with it*? Based only on maths: at 20s per full rotation, a 1/4000th of a second will cover about 16 arcseconds. IF ...
