open up picasa and look at the plugins in there. There are plugins within autopano and there are autopano plugins into other software which allow you to send images to autopano from e.g picasa, bridge etc

that seems a step backwards to me! in 2.5 i just needed to import, detect, straighten the verticals and render. This had this and the other 36 scenes i shot that day come out pretty much perfect first time every time. To have to go through that extra step/s with each scene shouldnt be neccesary in 2...

Import multiple images as cubefaces

the option to export images as cubefaces is useful for patching up zenith and nadir that are tricky in equirectangular projection. However although they can be exported in bulk, it seems they can only be imported one at a time. Is there a way to import them en mass

If it is a graphics card issue, is it not resolved by disabling gpu processing in the options?

Update: i tried with the new 2.6 final and the issue remains. Additionally despite performance increase claims being particularly noticeable for fisheye, this image took 2min20s to stitch in 2.5.2 compared to 3min30s in 2.6.0

attatched are screenshots. not sure what order they will display in but this is what im expecting to see/be shown: First two show same region of a pano in 2.5 and 2.6rc2, with the later having the stitching error, one of many compared to none picked up in 2.5 after giving it a once over. Next two di...

[APG 2.6.0 RC2 x64, win7] FE distortion correction innacurate

I was having a little trouble with a set of panos i shot over the weekend for a tour not stitching well. Shot with the tokina 10-17mm FE on canon crop with Z,N 8@+/-30. On stitching with pictures embedded into the file, it became clear that the corners of the images were far off where they should be...

browse by folder, tiff only

having processed 37 scenes into individual folders, and converted the raw files to tiff, the browse by folder tool does a great job of importing all the images into separate groups from their folders.
But, both raw and tiff files are imported, is there an option/method to only import the tiff files?

How far over are you? if it's only a couple of percent then the temporary solution would be to render at 300kpx on the long edge and the down scaling will sharpen the image a touch

you need to use the vertical line tools to straighten it before you render it in autopano. Unfortunately I've found that this needs to be done very accurately, as sometimes what looks roughly straight in autopano turns out still to be very wonky once put in a tour

It will probably require editing the xml by doing something like this:
In PTP create a hotspot with the image link, and a logo with a regular link then export without xml embeding
Open xml files and copy the appropriate bits from the hotspot to the logo then remove the hotspot

Straighten a linear pano

With the new(ish) multiple viewpoints feature, i thought i'd dig up an old linear pano i did which i never could quite get right, unfortunately i still cant get it right. as you can see in the screenshot it stitched fine but for the bend along the length. I've tried the straighten tools but with no ...

for the intel option, double check your CPU-MB compatability.
LGA 1366 has 6 slots up to 24GB (4GB/slot) but the 2600k is LGA1155 which supports 4 slots with up to 8GB/slot for 32GB total. I know this for sure as i am considering getting the 2600k with 32GB to replace my core 2 duo E7200 with 8GB

the single 8GB stick i mentioned is at aria.co.uk . But as i said that's on pre-order and sounds a bit cheaper than is likely. I too would like to know where in the UK to actually get 8GB sticks as im looking at upgrade time and wouldnt mind avoiding getting 4GB sticks only to replace them later...

The recently announced LGA 2011 socket from intel takes 8 slots. With 4x4GB stick packs at ~GBP100 that gives you 32GB on the cheap, and i saw an 8GB advertised at GBP50 (though marked pre order, so not sure if it will appear for that price) which would give 64GB at GBP400 (plus CPU, MB...)

I looked this up the other day and although ive not implimented it i think a solution was found though a little long winded. Basically set up a simple LAMP server in a VM, then use a free dns site to get a domain that points to it, then get a gmaps api key for your server. For pushing it live either...

it was a while ago, but i think it was about 10-15 mins. Not ideal but manageable until something like the Clauss or Rodeon comes to budget. Couple of stitching errors were easily fixed in post
