I was really disappointed when I recently learned that someone was helping them upload this image. It gives these type of images a really bad reputation that will be difficult to overcome. Olihar your cohort recommended using a Matlab program ( maybe run in Octave ) that a gentlemen developed for d...

You should easily solve that by renaming the images using the sequence they where shot in. There are many application that do that, Bridge and Lightroom could do it for you if you have them.

To bad I am away from home, currently in LA and will be here for the rest of the year. There have been some amazing photographs flowing around the Icelandic photo forums. Check some of my friend, Christopher's Lund work. http://www.photoshelter.com/c/chris/gallery/Volcanic-Eruption-Fimmvoreuhals/G00...

I think your design is OK. I got everything working, have a little test button on the flash cube to go onto the camera... However when I put it on the camera it is like the camera is constantly connecting the flash, I used a multimeter to see if there is any connection between, and it is nothing un...

Here is the motion curve from it made in Nuke. http://www.olihar.com/autopano/merlin_track_nuke.jpg Did the straight green line in PS to compare it to.. This seems to me to be pretty consistent movement. I guess the little curve in the line would be from 0.1 movement and a little backlash in the Mer...

Bruno, Could-you send me your "original preset" (the one who isn't working) I will have a look to find the reason why it is working ... Olihar, In Timelapse, the current frames per seconds are +/- 1 frame every 5 seconds.. So at the minimum Merlin speed (astronomical rate), 48 frames will cover a d...

Just did a quick Arduino test and it seems to be pretty straight forward.

I probably need a resistor for it as I trigger the stepper simply by getting close to my wires on the breadboard.

Something like this I would guess.

I will try and export motion curve from it.

I got interested in that matter to be able to use this to activate a servo for a dolly movement after the shutter has been activated. So the Papywizard could be used for the merlin/orion for pan and tilt and while it could activate a dolly movement handled by an arduino. Any ideas what would be need...

Hi Olihar, I think that such a little increment will not be accurate in absolute value ! But this mount is a "astronomical" mount and the slowest speed is = 1 x "sideral" = 1° / 4 minutes So you have an idea of the timelapse capability ...!!! Thanks for your reply. I did a test using 0.1 Yaw and 0....
