Interface design is important especially for new users of the software, clear and intuitive icons can help and assist with the learning curve.
Why do I think of Origami whilst looking at the icons?
Anyway new visualisations can be a benefit.

The supplied dove tail focusing rail can work, but it depends on what camera you have and lens of course.
If you let us know your lens and camera, someone here may already have the same or similar equipment with the nodal point issues already solved.

The Results Of course, upsampling is never as good as the original image in the correct resolution because upsampling involves creating those extra pixels out of nothing. Blow Up uses a sort of "facet" approach to creating the missing pixels. You can see the difference this makes in patterned areas...

I agree you need at least 30% overlap in your images, I would also suggest a lens hood be used.
