Klaus, Thanks for looking at the post and making suggestion. I tried using panotour but it would cost 300 + 100 for the web site to show the few sets of images I would be doing. Plus i am not confident with the html site so i will go back to keeping my sets of images in a small mini album. Thanks ag...

Klaus and others, I have tried another site to host the pdf. I am limited to 20mb per file but should not be restricted as to how many times the file is accessed. It 20mb and may take some time to download. Here is the new link

Klaus, Sorry for the inconvenience of not being able to connect. I am trying to get to grips with the site and how everything works. It must mean that I can only have 200megabyte of download each day, which is disapointing. If that the case then the site wont be worth using. Do you know of a site wh...

Hi to all, I found a way to present a pdf of some panos taken recently. You dont need to download any software and you can use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the presentation. It is 27 megs in size so it will take about 2 minutes to open(depending on your internet service). Please cont...

Test presentation

Looking at a way to present a series of Pano's that tell a story. The sample way attached ( 1 Image) will be restricted to the rules of the forum. I was also wondering if a PDF can be posted in this forum as well. I would be interested in other peoples views on the subject

Sorry Destiny I am not into VR as such. I am old fashioned and like to have a print I can see on the wall and not need a computer to view images. Not that I have anything against VR if its used in the right place. And you wont be able to turn a visible light image in true IR one. There are afew app ...

Destiny, How did you capture the IR images. Withan external filter or with a converted camera. You have to play with he exposure toget a high dynamic range for HDR. The IR light does not react on the sensor as does visible light. You may find that there is not a very big range within the scene when ...

Destiny, If I read your post correctly, i believe that you are tyring to do HDR with IR images. I have tried this before and not had any trouble. The images once captured and just ordinary JPG's or tifs or raws and can be manipulated in the same way a normal color image is..The difference will be in...

Thanks Destiny, UKpano and snaefel for the comments. snaefel, Thanks for the comment' My camera is a Canon 30D that was converted by Maxmax in the USA. It has the 720nm filter and i use a nd4 neutral density filter to eliminate some ot the unfiltered natural light. Without the ND filter I can add so...

A walk in the park

Whilst out testing the new APG 2.6 in the local park I managed a few images that might be of interest. All hand held and run through APG with default settings.

Olive. Yes its from a converted canon 30D. Try this to see if the image is any better. Click on the image so that it is full size. Then save picture as , then view the image outside of the forum eg with Ps or windows photo viewer etc.

Thanks all. I must say that the conversioin from tiff to JPG for the forum reduced the tones somewhat. Any body else had the same affect.

Olive White, If you are interested in toning effects for B&w , I would suggest that you have a look at Silver effex pro form NIK software. Its a bit pricy but gives excellent accress to all sorts of manipulation of B& W images. The Copper toning area will almost replicate the effect you have with th...

Great pano. Has the red been lifted in post processing. The effect is very pleasing and adds a warm feel to the scene. The true B&W is a little starker.. Well done

Pg, you are correct to be using a converted camera as it allows for better composition and metering. I have a converted canon 30D and find it excellent when used with the correct lense (Not hot spots). As far as white balance is concerned i would always use grass or some lush green foliage because i...

Hi PG, Can I ask if you use external IR filters or a converted camera. To me the white balance is not correct and therefore the exposure is not correct for IR. Generally 1 and 2/3 stops difference. The middle of the day will give you the most IR effect and the blue sky does reflect IR light so it wi...

APG is automatic

Hi, reading thr forum posts one would assume thatAPG is not as automatic as it name suggests. An example of dropping 80 images in brackets of 5 into APG with Default settings. Rendered with exposure fusion. Finished size is 800 x 285 at 240 dpi. Here downsized to attach in forum

Thanks AlenandreJ for the explaination. Reading other post about the problems some are having with APG puts doubts in ones mind as to suggest That the programme is not working as well as it should. Not in my case, although I only create mosaic panoramas up to about 1.5 Gb APG performs perfectly and ...

Memory allocation in 2.6.1

This is probably a question for the hardware guru's on the forum. ? When opening APG 2.6.1and checking the Edit >Settings options before loading images for detection I notice that on my 12GB memory notebook , APG finds 12GB of ram but says that only 7.6Gb is free. I have checked the memory via windo...
