Use lens correction or not

Hi,
I have a question regarding lens correction. This is a feature which has been implemented into Raw-converting software like Lightroom. Does it make sense to correct the lenses in the raw-converter or does this lead to problems with Autopano?

Aurora and Stars

I was out some time ago to take pictures of the Milky Way and the stars over Iceland. For this, you need a really dark place with almost no light. I was at such a place and was not very pleased, when an aurora showed up. This phenomenon is nice, but much brighter than the stars. I was kind of lucky,...

Thanks. I used 10 Images to stitch this pano, it has something around 4000x16000 pixel in full resolution.

Clouds and Sun

Its getting fall in Iceland - which means we get more storm and rain. But if you mix this with some sunlight, you get really nice light situations.

My dream! :) What work are you carrying out there? (I assume you were there on work-related matters and photographing by-the-way) To make you even more jealous: This was a photo trip. No work included :-) You can book tours with a super jeep over the glacier, look for example here: http://www.mount...

These are awesome pictures, great job! It doesnt look anything like the stuff theyve been showing on TV. Im wondering: Are you guys actually worrying about all this or is it a rather normal occurrence? You have to be carefull - the place up there is definitely no playground. You have to go over the...

']WOW! How far you're from that eruption and what camera/lens you're using? That was pretty close, probably 3-400m, the images are taken with a Nikon D3 and a 70-180 at 110mm for the daytime pano and with the 300mm lens for the night pano. For the second pano I just wanted to shoot some details whe...

Volcano eruption

Hi, you have probably heard of the volcanic eruption here in Iceland. I had the chance to visit the site yesterday and to take a few photos as basis for panoramas. What was really hard was the movement of the lava in the air, especially for the night pano I had to correct a lot by hand. It was reall...

Northern lights

Hi,
after several month with very little or basically no activity, the sun seems to wake up again. Last week showed some very spectacular northern lights three days in a row - so strong, that it was again possible to shoot a panorama of it.

Hi Oli, The longtime forecast is not very good ether, the next activity will be on the 21st of December. Where do you get a longtime forecast? The one at Alaska University is not present any more. Nice panorama, especially since the solar activity is actually very low. And Reykjanes is a nice place to take panos, I will keep this in mind.
