you need to review your workflow, You are putting EXR files in and its aligned in AGP, you output to PSB, - you need to output to EXR and then open it in your HDR application of choice, do the tone mapping if you want to bring it back to 16/8BIT or just make it look good in EXR in your HDR applicati...

what's wrong with doing it in Photoshop? are you saying it can't be done or that its too time consuming? AGP may not give you are perfect result but it will get you close using the extended focal length such as 1000-2000 mm, save it as a layered file and then in Photoshop fine tune it. If it does ta...

Sorrry for being so negative here, but i have given up using HDR with APG.

I use a similar process to Hans, and I would second his experience and tools of choice - but then I also have all those programs incl Capture One which lately has been very tempermental.

ouch, 30 min on the cloud computer, there is not much to be gained there? upload the info to the speedtest site, and let bernard rate it. and place you on the ladder, this will help u get an idea how you have performed. have a look at some of the other systems and their configs and see how they comp...

The interesting part here is how much do you charge for a gigapano ? And how long does it take?
What is the turnaround time to the client?

Henrik

Ps: just like in any other business section one might charge $100 and someone else $1000 for perceived similar task

Well, the good side of this is we have a choice. We all have to make one that suits the kind of business or clients we have. I think cloud computing is an interesting option, but it's very limited to me due to the slow broadband we have here (Australia), heck my 75 year old mum in Denmark has 5-10 f...

I might have gotten this wrong, but I reckon I could probably stitch and render it in the same time :-) probably because we have really slow ADSL

It's an interesting idea, probably one that will take off down the track. I am just not sure it's for everyone, but neither as an oversize powerhouse :-) of a computer. The cloud will become more attractive when we get faster Internet access, at least here in Australia, we are not moving that fast. ...

Georg, the 2011 isn't overclockable like the 1366 Xeon's, the 2011 XEON, can only be overclocked 4% unless you buy special CPU's from Intel "Intel charges around $2 per 1MHz CPU increment at these performance levels, so gaining 124MHz on two CPUs is worth around $500 given current pricing." http://w...

Hi Destiny, with the R16 rotar, at n=96 (3.75 degrees), your max focal lenght is 400mm in landscape orientation, and 300mm in Portrait, both with 27% overlap. I don;t have the NN, but the RRS, and I rotate it manually up and down and use the R16 as my horizontal rotar. Works fine, but I did struggle...

For benchmarks in panoramic making for both Autopano and PTGui search google for PTGui speedtest.

Run the test on your current system to compare it to your future system or similar systems.

Look for the socket with the most future in it, that take the most expanding, providing you plan upgrade your system within 3 years. If not then just get the cheapest

Good luck

Hans,
You said you can turn it on and off, via the internet? How? In Particular how would you turn it on?

I use teamviewer to remotely access it which will let me turn it off, but I am struggling to work out how to turn them on.

Thanks

Henrik
