Re: Super resolution with autopano?

Already 30 years ago there were rather smart algoritms that could rather smartly recreate information from damaged pictures. therefore I am not that negative towards these techniques. It is also therefore that I am disappointed with the examples given, I had expected better results

Re: Super resolution with autopano?

We must remember the superresolution technology is not the same as interpolation. Last year I produced a file for a 11*2.5 m print at resolution 150 dpi. I did use APG. No interpolation was used. We initially had a lower resolution file which I interpolated from 50 dpi to 150 dpi but it was unaccept...

Re: Super resolution with autopano?

I am not impressed with the examples. Actually I am even more convinced better results can be achieved by stitching 7 partly overlapping photos made with a longer lens..... "Without buying a new lens" is never an excuse for lack of quality, teleconvertors are not that expensive btw. My wor...

Re: Super resolution with autopano?

I do the stitching for a number of professional photographers who don't have the time, big enough computer, knowledge or software for it. They often use the 50 mm to make a 180 degrees landscape picture. Takes them (only) half an hour to take all the photos (brackets of 5 or 7). There is so much det...

Re: Super resolution with autopano?

If you limit yourself to the situation you describe, you might want to look at the size % of the rendering. Since recently it goes all the way up to 150, not sure what that means.
In general I don't think autopano can do superresolution as you describe it.

Re: Super resolution with autopano?

The question I answered to was "Is it possible to do something similiar with autopano?"

Re: Super resolution with autopano?

Instead of making one photo with a certain lens, you can shoot a number of rows and columns with a longer lens and then stitch them together using autopano I process and stitch for a number of photographers. Some make 180 degree shots using a 50 MM lens by shooting 18 photos a row and 4, 5 or more r...

Re: [APG] 4.0.0 BETA 2 Windows 7 64 BIT] Wrong memory alloca [SOLVED]

Autopano Giga 4.0.0. Beta 2 so not 1. Just to be sure I installed AutopanoGiga_x64_400B2_2014-12-19.exe again and rebooted. Result : problem solved. Will now start testing on stability 10 minutes later : it seems stable, CPU is high, still the situation with the last core but not so much a problem a...

Re: New install : autopano4 don't start

Interesting to see you have 3 displaycards. As 4.0.0. has a faster editor and does more with the GPU I am wondering if the problem is caused by you having 3 cards. No hard indication however...

Re: Just a white picture as result

Could be the fact you have an internal graphics card. 4.0 is faster in editor. can you the GPU check compatibility under settings?

Re: APG 4.0 beta 1

If the lack of stability stays like this, I won't even spend 79 euro and stick with 3.7.1

Re: APG 4.0 beta 1

the updat prices are only if you have no license for 3.7 yet. We have no idea what things will cost when you have a license for 3.7 already. They should be less, problably 99euro for APG

APG 4.0 beta 1

First glance : userinterface not changed, fortunately. My GPU is much better used and no sign of the famous last core problem. All we wait for now is the price of final version/ update price when having 3.5 already. Me think I am using the beta for a while now. as things only seems to go faster. Com...

Re: The last core

Please not that discussion again. Taskmanager might not show every detail, what it shows is no BS. Anyone that has the same thing with the last virtual core can test for himself to see whether unchecking the last core makes a difference. Just to be sure, this problem does not occur while rendering, ...

Re: The last core

By not letting APG using the last VIRTUAL core (the 12th virtual core in my case). Note the difference. So the last REAL core (the sixth virtual core in my case) is still available for APG to use. Whether APG uses the core that is used for the GPU processes during rendering is a question I can not a...
