Re: 360cam

When going 360 you need more dynamic range, certainly with bright sunlight.
Images shown are rather blurry or soft, like one is watching low-level video. This is not like one is watching 4K on one's screen, not even a quarter of it.

Re: scripting the editor

Another problem related to this I am now doing the above "scripting" manually to get 720 fisheye renderings from one panorama. Problem is that outdoor panorama can cause each render to look very differently in the details. One frame a piece of cloud appears, next it is gone again. This onl...

scripting the editor

for a project I will not discuss here, I would like to automate a number of actions in the editor. I would like to script something like this Transform 0, -45, 0 Render Transform 0, 45, 0 Transform -0.5, 0,0 and repeat this 720 times I tried a mouserecorder to do this but it does not work very stabl...

Re: Poor quality in final product

Why use krpanotools when you can set the compression in PTP itself.....Or am I missing the point here? If krpano has more options in that regards I think they should be made available in an advanced mode of PTP..

Re: Problems with 4k Monitor

Not very related but when talking resolutions I always like this picture
http://cinefex.com/blog/wp-content/uplo ... 4x1024.jpg

And I hope I can replace my display by just one hololens ;-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aThCr0PsyuA

Hope Autopano will run on that ;-)

Re: Maximum RAM: 50GB?

Having 64 GB after having 32 GB for a while I can only say that if you have the money go for it. At the time an extra 32 GB was not that expensive, so for me a nobrainer. Not always will all 64 GB be used, but I am happy I hardly ever find the machine without power. I have no option to go to 96 GB, ...

Re: Maximum RAM: 50GB?

I have noticed that when a version of APG was instable it actually helped to give it 50 GB instead of what was maximum available ;-)

Re: Poor quality in final product

More interesting to me is it to determine what is the best fileformat to use as output when generating panoramas with APG, when one wants to correct things a bit in photoshop and then load into PTP.

Re: Poor quality in final product

Let me try to recap everything. I am afraid it is not clear to everyone what PTP does when it generates a tour and why it does so. To speed up the display of a tour PTP makes sure the webbrowser does not have to load the whole panorama before the user is able to see the part he/she is looking at. No...

Re: Poor quality in final product

And at least you have a decent nadirs in all your panoramas ;-) The examples on 3dvista are horrible in that regard. But let's not forget the speed of things. Yesterday I processed 16 panoramas into a virtual tour. Load them, seperate them and hit run for detection and go do something else. My compu...

Re: Ghosting Images in Auto Pano Giga

I see you do use stacks. In the case photomatix does not solve this for you, use the thin green and redmarkers inside one stack.

Otherwise, dropbox me on hans@hanskeesom.com and I will fix it for you and send you the .pano file back too

Re: Ghosting Images in Auto Pano Giga

use some red markers in overlapping images on the place where the green markers are.

If shot were not bracketed, there is no need to use the fat markers. Try the skinny ones

Re: Support for MacBook Pro Retina

Alexandre, when you say "and soon in PTP too." is that the userinface of the programm PTP itself or the generated panoramatour?
For me it is important that the generated panoramatour is displayed superbly on retina/4k and if possible 5 K screens.

Will a tour made by panotour display and use 4k/5k display?

I know APG works on 4K screens, but my question is about tours that are generated with panotour 2.0, will they profit and use the possibilities of a 4K if displayed on one?
Or will it display and ignore the detailing of a 4k screen?

Re: APG - Handling hardware

with the old file in place I got 1:59, without the file there I got 1:53.
But again, I am more interested in de preview in the editor, asuming it is closer to the endresult now.

Re: APG - Handling hardware

Well I am happy I got 5 min:5 s where 3.7.1 did 8 min 8;-) So now that I am faster then you Georg, I can easier say that I do not care about rendering time as I always concentrate on other things while rendering. I have a mac mini in the living room from which I control my servers in the server room...
