To DrSlony,

Looks like a great menu but somehow I can't find it. No problem though, as leaving the tube on protects the lens I will leave it on and apply the template while shooting.

To Hankkarl : thanks for the information, so it differs from lens to lens

Hi Klaus, If only the sigma would have been a 200 euro lens..... but that is not what I want to discuss. I am shooting at f11. The f2.8 is there for when shooting other photos, like indoor partys, so anything but panoramas On the topic, if we can agree on the center of a lens being better (in genera...

Creating better panorama by leaving the tube on the fish-eye lens

Hi, I have a sigma 10 mm f2.8 fisheye. Great lens but in the corners I experience chromatic abberations which also affected my panoramas in a bad way. As it is only/mostly in the corners I decided to do a test by leaving the tube on that sits between the lens and the normal cap. The result are circu...

Hi Tived, If a GPU is that important for phase 3? If so, that is rather important information. I am running a rather cheap ATI RAdeon HD 4650 as my machine was more meant for batchprocessing. If replacing the 50 euro card brings me a lot while editing, I will be very happy. Hope you can shine your l...

']HansKeesom, it's too early to tell in regard of 2.5. I really think you will benefit from reading this thread: http://www.autopano.net/forum/t9421-so,who-has-32gb-or-more-ram-and-dual-cpu-s Hi Bo, I have just finished reading the whole thread and did not find much to make a decision which directi...

2.0.8 seems to have a more robust implementation of Smartblend - great work guys! Thanks :) At one time it was the case iirc that for Multiband you wanted big fast disks whereas for Smartblend you needed lots of RAM. Or have I got that the wrong around? Anyway, I haven't given up my gigapanography ...

As pointed out, a stitching service is a risky business. Garbage in, garbage out, not much you can do there. It is like having someone else do a wedding for you and you being responsible for the result. I think you do not want to go there. I have been hiring photographers for sportsevents and found ...

At the moment I thinking about and investigating another approach. I would like to know if other have experiences with it. I make the photos for a 360*180 pano using a 10 mm fisheye. Horizontal rotation of 60 degrees. After making the needed photos (2 rows plus two shots down) I change the lens to a...

OK, thanks. I'd like to see a button in APT on each pano to give access to Google Maps, then let me move around in google maps till I find the right place, then have APT automatically use that place. Even better--use a GPS tag and automatically place the pano in google maps. There'd also need to be...

Using GPS

Just dreaming here Say I make many panorama's on a trip. My camera has GPS or I have a GPS-logging device. This means that when I process my panorama's the resulting files have GPS information in them. Now I take autopano-tour. As all the created panorama's have GPS information autopano-tour knows w...
