Re: Memory error prevents Giga from launching

Don't ask me why but I had fewer crashes. And that is enough reason for me.

Re: Memory error prevents Giga from launching

I can reproduce this error at will ! 100% repeatable. Like this: Open PTP, open CP editor in a seperate "window" Close PTP, this will not close the CP editor, which stays open. Start APG -> error like below There are several questions: why don't a closedown of PTP also close the CP editor...

Re: AVP Render Crashes Computer

Sorry, I responded from my experiences with APG. Turns out APV has no such dial. Alternatively you might reduce the number of cores APV uses.

Re: APG - Handling hardware

No the GPU will NOT change any of these stages. During rendering the GPU is NOT used.

Re: Memory error prevents Giga from launching

As I have a titan too and 64 GB of RAM and continue to have problems which do not occur on my 16 GB (also ;-) ), can I ask to which level you lowered the memory slider?

Through some private messages we discussed the way you make your nadirshots and the number of them and now you have perfect nadirs, right?

Re: APG - Handling hardware

inspired by some other threads like: http://www.kolor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=5057 I wanna post my experiences with my new Hardware: it took 14 Min to render the pano, 3:57 for warping Phase[/color][/b]. Personally I do not care much about the render speed. I do that in batch and if it t...

Re: Autopano 3.6.3 64 bit editor behaves like a 32 bit

conclusion, when the editors claim more then 4 or 5 GB together, APG crashes due to bad allocation... Seems like the editor are not made 64 bit-proof.

Autopano 3.6.3 64 bit editor behaves like a 32 bit

I have been sending in a lot of automatic error reports lately. The crashreportor fills in the word allocation automaticly. Somehow windows does not want to give more then 4.40 GB of memory to APG 3.6.3. when doing just editing In settings of APH 54 of 64 GB are available. It almost seems I am runni...

Re: APG 2 GPU configuration advice

I know kolor does have some preferences for amd driven Cards, but honestly, in General they're too hot and use to much power for my taste... the upcoming Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 will fit more into my pockets: cool (fanless if BD film watching), 50% less power consumption to many other Cards (165Watt...

Re: Problem with color rendering - RAW & JPG

Hi I look at the photos. Can't really explain what causes the thing you saw, especially because you did do manuall white balance. I did see that you did use auto exposure which caused aperture and speed to vary from picture to picture. Can you try to reshoot the whole thing with manuall exposure kee...

Re: Problem with color rendering - RAW & JPG

The results straight from APG can look dull when done with RAW. In APG you can already play a bit with the colors and histogram, even have this done automaticly. I often make sure the histogram is nicely spread out over the whole 100%. Then in photoshop I finish things or leave it to the photographe...

Re: Very confused about batch processing workflow

Not sure what you are asking but you can set the average number of photos in a panorama to 6 and then set the maximum time between each shot taken before a new panorama is to be detected. I have that set to 120 seconds, mostly that works great.

Re: Problems with bracketed Panorama Stitching (Layers) and

do not have the detection happen in all layers independently , so "for a stack : use hard links" and "Detect links in the reference level"
Now the reference level is set when you group stack. Trick here is not always to use the +0 one, sometime a darker level works better.
