I'd appreciate it if someone would write a workflow for doing multires panos (or a link to it if it exists). http://krpano.com/tools/kmakemultires/ The term "multires" usually means a different thing than using multiple focal lengths: a highres pano or picture which is cut into parts of different r...

It means that ICC will be kept in TIFF 16 bits with render engine 2.5 ( already available as beta 2 ) and what of the color space. In a standard RAW file from a 5DII or in such a file converted to TIF in 16 BIT Adobe RGB or Prophoto RGB, will the color space be maintained? This is a most important ...

You could paint an alpha-channel mask with photoshop in parts of the source files where you want to keep the people. Thus painting on source images without the people at the spot where an overlapping source image has people in it. APP and APG ignore these masked areas when rendering. In this panora...

Is there way to keep people in a pano? I want to stitch the environment but keep everyone in their original position. Right now Autopano just selects one person and get rids of everyone else. Is this possible? (I have a similar interest, but I want to add extra people to perfect panos that have no ...

At the moment I thinking about and investigating another approach. I would like to know if other have experiences with it. I make the photos for a 360*180 pano using a 10 mm fisheye. Horizontal rotation of 60 degrees. After making the needed photos (2 rows plus two shots down) I change the lens to ...

Hi! Some days ago i used my modified manual Manfrotto head and realized afterwards having missed to align the vertical axis properly. Having used a fisheye in a small room i was afraid getting messy stitches. I used the new "multiple viewpoints" - and it´s like having aligned perfectly. That´s a ...

Mediavets, thanks for your offer! I'm still stymied. Here's a link to a zip file with the 4 images: http://johnwpoole.com/share/morgue_pano_atome_8mm.zip -jp Well - what I think has happened is that you have only taken off part of the Sigma 8mm lens cap. The lens cap on the Sigma 8mm is in two part...

The color space is not changed at all. We don't do any color space conversion. So, in some format, where this color space is not assigned back, you just need to assign it back and that's good. Hi Alexandre, That sounds super! but RAW files when processed in APG end up stitched, marked as being sRGB...

We discovered that bug in the 2.0.9 series during the tests for v2.5. Be sure that 16bits tiff ICC is supported in the new engine. Thanks so much. Just a clarification of your kind reply: "Be sure" means "I can promise you that 16bits Tiff ICC is supported in the new engine." So if that is correct,...

So that's the bug. You did use 16bits tiff, right ? In the v2.0.9, we didn't support ICC in tiff 16bits. We didn't? What about now or the future? What's the hardship in supporting 16 BIT Adobe RGB? Why would one go to the trouble of doing such careful blending but then have a smaller color Gamut? d...

Hi Asher, The ICC profile transfer depends on the input file format, output file format and how the ICC is stored in the format. With 2.0.9 version, ICC profile was supported on jpeg and tiff 8 bits as a standard ICC metadata. If the ICC profile is stored only in a XMP metadata, then, it's not supp...

Is it that no one knows or it's not an interesting question? Is it possible to render in APGiga and maintain color space in Adobe RGB (1988)?

Asher

Just reassign the color space. AFIK, there's no setting for that. So far I have not been able to find the colors space controls! All my images enter as Adobe RGB (1988) and all the stitched images are tagged as sRGB! So why our images should lose the Adobe RGB designation is a mystery to me too! Fo...

Hi Asher! Did you try Onyx? That´s a very good maintaining application. Cleans up nearly everything. best to you, Klaus Thanks so much for making the introduction! You'd make a good matchmaker, LOL! got back 15 GB from the HD some from hidden .tmp files. Not certain that these are the APG ones. I ...

und :-) Ouched missed the bit with the Macbook...thought it said Macpro...anyway, you will most likely need more free HDD space in particular if you are using smartblend. External disk, yes if you have to, but its going to be slooooow :-) The 17" MacBook Pro has an ExpressCard slot - here you can c...

Asher welcome! Have you checked your temp directories, there may be some left overs, especially if you have had a few crashes. I have had this happen to me from time to time, and have had to go back and claim 2-300Gb in the lost and found :-) Ouched missed the bit with the Macbook...thought it said...

Hi Asher! Welcome to the forum! Glad to see you here and hope you´re fine! Your problem seems unfamiliar - given you didn´t break a rendering all temp files should be gone after finishing. I suggest an update to 10.6.4 and i strongly suggest to use an external drive for temp! best to you, ...

Auto Pano Giga fails to release hard drive space taken when closed!

I have discovered that APG is eating up my HD space on my start up drive. This is an Intel 17" Macbook Pro, 2.33 GHZ, 2GB RAM 667 MHZ, running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and APG V. 6 and then same thing with version 9. I have searched for tmp files or new files to discover where the space has gone! I have ...
