Still no ideas? Anyone from Kolor willing to take a look at it? I could upload (reduced-sized if needed) jpegs and the xml file. You don't even really need my jpegs, since it isn't optimizing; you could just use some place-holders.

Still hoping for some help. I tried it again with the same results. I wanted to note that the RPY of every single image was 0,0,0 exactly. Since there was no optimization, this is the actual imported result and quite different to that in the Papywizard XML file.

Does your camera have an orientation sensor? If it does you may be better off disabling it if that is possible. It does have one, but I made sure all of the images were oriented the same way in Lightroom. Still, they would all be the same since the pitch is fairly horizontal for all. The orientatio...

I had the detection level set to normal. I was using tiffs; could that be slowing it down? I have tried it again with jpegs and it doesn't seem that much faster. Dust on the sensor isn't an issue - the E-P2 shakes it off the sensor and I don't see any in the pictures; plus, I am already doing the Pa...

I downloaded the AutoPano Giga trial, repeated the import, got a similar result. See image below.

Import Wizard failure

I have a pano shot with 344 pictures using a Merlin head with Papywizard. When I use the Import Wizard, everything looks normal in the preview after loading the XML file and images (See first image below). I checked the detection options to "Auto detection Skip optimization Use recorded location" (s...

Maybe you can also try to reduce the value below 1° (try 0°), so the first move goes too far, and the final goto will have to reverse the direction... I'm reluctant to try this because of Claude's earlier reports that setting Inertia angle to less than 1 degree causes very erratic head movement: ht...

Bumpitty Bump :P It has been over a month since the last post on this stair-stepping issue. Has there been any kind of resolution of the issue? I plan to head out to shoot some tomorrow and wanted to see if I can avoid getting a case of the stairs. If there has been no resolution, is the problem el...

I have made several tests with the objectif of finding why this strange behavior ... More then that : - with a "inertia angle" of 1 °, the displacement time become longer ! (This confirm the conclusions of Andrew !) - with "inertia angles lower then 0,5 ° from time to time the head become completel...

Although it has a variety of plug ends you can swap out, none of them fit the merlin. I ended up buying some wires and plugs from Radio Shack (they have ends and cables to adapt almost anything), but if I were doing it again, I would just cut off the plug from a wire that fits the merlin socket and ...

I can´t see a problem here. But can you tell more about your setup/alignment and so on? Think we can´t expect clean and precise end and start when we set the mosaic from start to stop. Nokia/Wizard calculates rows and colums. best, Klaus There are two potentially different (or maybe from the same...

I don't think there is a hardware problem with the head. Just untighten it so it can move! As I understand, you used the import plugin. Are you sure there is no picture missing? It may be a AF problem (if you use it), or a trigger problem (check you cable)... You may have missed where I said it, bu...

Merlin mechanical/electrical failure?

For three panoramas in a row, I had problems illustrated by the pictures below. Note that shooting started in the upper right and did NOT use "carriage returns". The first photo shows what the pictures looked like on the Import page. You can see how, row by row, the photos were actually shot progres...

Dual camera setup possible?

In the Paris 20/26 gigapixels project blog, a setup using two cameras to increase the acquisition rate was described and shown. Is this possible in APP or APG for us mere mortals? Could Papywizard be altered to make this possible? I have a new Olympus E-P2 and two Olympus Pen F 250mm lenses (long st...

For an industrial projet, we will need to be able to shot some image every x meters. A note on a great external battery!

I have tried out an external battery that I have had sitting around for a while. It is the type that is used to recharge cellphones and to power portable electronic devices. It is called the ZAP Portable Energy D14 and came in multiple sizes. Mine has 4000mAhr capacity. I bought mine a good while ba...
