I thought I would share how well APG imported my Papywizard panorama. Screen shot of the pano as imported, without optimization: http://screencast.com/t/HNQA7ZkXD After hitting Automatic Horizon, I had this: http://screencast.com/t/xVhATWEp1W No color correction or levels in APP. Pretty nice, eh? Lo...

I just did a 21 wide by 12 high grid using the Papywizard import. Everything was just where it should be without optimization :D

John, Thanks - I should have remembered that option. Can you please post some photos of your rig so others can see how you mounted the camera and servo, and how you provide power to the kit. Mine is so messy, I don't want to post a pic :P However, here is a pic showing a neat way to mount the setup...

Good! Could someone running MacOS 10.4 can make a test, to see if it works? Hi Frédéric! At least on my system it doen´t run - 10.4 on a G5 DP. Says: fatal error. best to you, Klaus Same here on 10.4.11. How difficult would it be to build it so that it is compatible with 10.4? Do you have to use a...

you can mount also other rails, my crownplate is similiar and I addes a aluminium rail (standard 20x10mm) on which a quick release is mounted. the quick release slides in the rail to fit the NPP with different focal lenghts. Now that you have made this one and have access to the equipment to make t...

The only things I regret is that (indeed...) the manual is not so clear for the connections, especially the numering. What got me over the hump was finding the better pinout in the page 2 of the Product Brief http://www.a7eng.com/downloads/a7-pb-eb500-ser.pdf . Page 13 of the User Manual http://www...

Quick RJ11 wire question

How crucial is the value of the resistors i need to put in the RJ11 wire? I have 200 ohm resistors instead of 220. Is that a problem? (I remain a little foggy on why the resistors are there anyhow :P )

At last all my parts are here :D I may not sleep tonight. ;)

My real question though is this: what are the connectors you need to put on the end of the wires to be able to connect to the eb500? Name or especially a weblink would be appreciated! You need 2x200 ohm resistors too. Resistors are no problem to get locally. The connectors may be a different story....

In fact, you didn't *have* to install it; running it from the console is enough, using the command (from the top level dir): $ ./papywizard.sh Anyway, if you installed it, just run, in a console, from any location: $ papywizard.sh (as long as /usr/local/bin is in your path; type 'echo $PATH' to che...

A simple way to get to a directory in the terminal applica...

If running PW is your only goal, find a N800 on eBay. I got my N810 for the same amount of money here in Holland as if I had bought a N800 from eBay incl. shipment and taxes. The N810 has some extra gadgets like a real keyboard etc. It's much faster than a N770 and I have a much, much better wifi c...

I have been getting a bit frustrated waiting around for my Tronisoft Papy kit and I would like to play a little with the Merlin/Orion head using a wired connection. On one end, we have a Mac (that can run Windows XP under Parallels). Papywizard on MacOS

Has anyone out there tried to run Papywizard on Mac OS X? With its Unix core, shouldn't it be easy? I know Python is already installed.

I would like to give it a whirl, but just don't know where to begin.

Nokia 770 white screen of death (WSOD)?

I haven't even gotten my Tronisoft Bluetooth kit and it appears that my Nokia 770 has died. :( It was a never-used one that I have had for less than a month and used less than 10 times for short periods. I booted it up and the screen was just white with vertical grey stripes. It is running just fine...

Merlin/Orion/Skywatcher instruction Manual confusing or wrong?

I don't doubt this has been addressed before, but I can't seem to locate the topic in a search. My apologies if this is repeating a topic. The manual for the multifunction head seems to have ass-backwards instructions regarding the use of an external power supply. As shown in the picture below, the ...

jriley, the Merlin does not use a relay; when the contact is established, it is like having a diode in the loop. The diode grab 0.7V of the applied voltage (from camera); this can be an issue. Second, it only works in one sens, so try to reverse the connection... Be sure not to drain to much curren...

On a side-note: how do you open up the housing on the arm? I took out the two big screws on the cover and the four small ones around the hand-control jack. It still seemed stuck at the bottom; I didn't want to force it, since I may have missed a screw somewhere. you have to unscrew the bottom base ...

Camera trigger resistance

Could someone do me the favor of running their head through a "cruise and shoot" while measuring the resistance between the tip and bottom ring of their stereo-jack camera cable (one end plugged into t he head and the ohm-meter on the other)? Mine is open-line except when the head is trying to trigg...
