Re: Livepano Horror [SOLVED]

But, your video and image do not seem to match... The video was shot with no movement from the rig at all. I just rotated the image in Livepano for convenience: http://virtualtours.nl/livepano/horror2.jpg As you can see, the still is the same as the video, even if the color and contrast are a bit d...

[SOLVED] Livepano Horror [SOLVED]

After a couple of experiments, I decided to present to a client the possibility of making a Livepano. Only to face the horror now of having to tell him that it doesn't work. I have tried everything from APG 3.0.8 + PtP 2.0 to APG 3.6 + PtP 2.1.3 in every possible setting, which already cost me 2 day...

Re: Export cube face bug

It happens after I have adjusted a JPEG that is not 2:1 in Photoshop CS5 by adjusting the canvas size and saving it to a new file. Somehow, the new file still saves the original dimensions. I have had a similar problems some years ago. The only solution is to detect and render the panorama again wit...

Export cube face bug

I found a bug in PtP (both versions 2.0.1 and 2.1). When trying to export 8000x4000 pixels panoramas to cube faces, I get the error message 'Some panoramas can not be exported because they have not a 2:1 ratio'. Which is obviously not the case....

Re: Giga missing Group settings issue (can't produce a live

If anyone has a solution or maybe a tip on what I am doing wrong it would be much appreciated. As soon as I get a handle on this I would be more than happy to make an "unofficial" tutorial as I am sure I'm not the only one hung up on this.Ed Here are the settings I use: http://virtualtour...

Hi Mike,

I was considering buying an Atomos Ninja 2 Basic, but I'm still trying to figure out if the improvement will be great enough to justify an investment of about 800 euros. So please, share your findings with us on this forum!

Thanks,

Correct optimization settings for making Livepanos in 3.5.1?

APG 3.5.1 is not just an improvement. It brings us new problems as well. At least if you want make a Livepano, because 3.5.1 contains a totally different optimization engine than 3.0.8. In APG 3.0.8, the focal and distortion calculation had to be set to Force different and Distortion model to 2nd or...

Re: Livepano + Partial panoramas...

Wouldn't it be possible to make an equirectangular picture of this partial panorama with APG (set window to maximum size in stead of 'clamp to content'), blend in the videos with Livepano and then limit the view in PtP?

Re: LivePano documentation plus an example

I really hope that there are many more features in the GUI that allow for compensating for lighting.. Yes, that would be welcome. I'd also like to see the linear 'wizard' that is used now replaced by a GUI that allows me to select the steps myself in the desired order, to save intermediate results,...

LivePano documentation plus an example

I have been experimenting with LivePano in PtP 2.0 and since I could not find a document that has a complete guide, I decided to write one myself. This is not a replacement for Kolors tutorials, but it may give you a few tips. The problems I encountered using LivePano are also in there, ranging from...

Re: LivePano/PanoTour not compatible with Autopano Giga 3.5. [SOLVED]

Not sure why nobody else has spotted this. I noticed this just now when trying to make a Livepano for which I just bought a new D7100... It looks like APG saves its .pano files in a different format. I tried to manually change the application name to "Autopano Giga 3.0" in the .pano file....

Re: How to get best video quality

The whole idea is to integrate a video within the panorama, to make a part of the panorama come alive. You can't switch to another lens in between.

Re: How to get best video quality

Its to due to the lossy of the video.. The D90 does not allow me to change the video compression codec for in-camera recording. This poses another question: should I record to an external hdmi recorder in stead of in the camera? I think however the fact that the D90 can not record full HD has also ...

How to get best video quality

Combining video with panoramas is exiting and new to me. I got LivePano to work, but was dissappointed by the poor video quality of my Nikon D90, compared to the good still picture quality it offers when making panoramas. The video looks blurred even if it should be HD. Maybe I need a new camera aft...

Make a panorama and a 10 second movie with a Nikon D90, 10.5mm fisheye and Nodal Ninja 2. Converted the mov...

I have also considered using a voice over. That could be a solution for small screens, however I think the sound hotspot does not work on mobile devices.

Ideally, the size of the box would adjust to the device screen size so that people will be able to read it indepently of the size of the device they are using.

How to add more textboxes?

I would like to add several 'popup' textboxes (much like the description box) linked to hotspots in panoramas of a tour for explanation of what is seen there, but there is no text hotspot like there are pdf, photo and video hotspots which I can place randomly in the panorama. Turning the text into a...

Re: Virtual Tour on Youtube?

Yes, with After Effects and the Trapcode Horizon plugin. It is complicated and requires expensive software but gives good results. You can find other options on Hans Nyberg's website http://www.panoramas.dk/panorama/video/
