I have used a Canon 500mm f/4.0 and a 1.4x teleconverter on an Epic Pro. I do not like to use the 1.4x teleconverter because of the optical vignetting and natural vignetting that occurs. If you use the 500mm f/4.0 lens without the teleconverter, it is excellent. ( Please read this short presentation...

You can use a 360 degree panorama to represent where a gigapixel panorama will be. Then you edit the XML code by hand to replace the 360 degree panorama with a gigapixel panorama.

You can write your actionscript 3.0 code to function with krpano to work as a plugin. Look at the example pages and download the zip file flashcs3exampleplugin11.zip which is located at the bottom of the page.

Very nice gigapixel image and presentation. It is wrapped like a beautiful box of choclates with a great interface that is minimalistic with good use of alpha channels for blending. I like your choice of hotspots. No blinking :) Also, I like the graphics at the top of the page near the title. Great ...

Are you busy adding hotspots for 360 panoramas and ambient sound captures to the Paris 26 Gigapixel panorama? It would be great to hear people ordering lunch at a cafe, the metro, etc. Have you thought about adding a guided tour where the viewer would zoom in to interesting parts of the panorama? Ei...

If you captured the full reflection I would include that as well. The halo is the band of lighter sky that surrounds the mountain and trees. If you are using photoma...

You need to download the Adobe DNG converter if you are using the Adobe CS3 RAW converter. They include these updates for CS4, but not CS3. So if you convert them to DNG, you can use the file.

I. Alexandre posted a great explanation about the challenges of the older smartblend algorithm here. I would advise you to use multiband for larger panoramas. They are working on developing a newer algorithm that is suited for the larger panoramas. http://www.autopano.net/forum/t7850-smartblend-cras...

I believe that someone on the krpano site captured each cubic face as a panorama and assembled it into a 360. I remember that there was a white stage in the pano with grass.

Brada, video files are larger and usually take longer to download. For general use it would be better to use a panorama viewer such as krpano. While post processing for movies visual effects people combine panoramas ( backlots ) and video / film of people using green screens. They also use panoramas...

Great effort with some creativity : ) 1. I would significantly reduce and compress the 360 degree panorama as it takes very long to download and the majority of people will not wait for it to load. You may not be aware of this due to viewing it from your computers disk drive, your cache or a very fa...
