Back on-topic... The problem of the stepped horizons is still the most common problem i can't fix easily... And the most noticeable in the finished pano image. I do magnitudes more hand-held panos with my P&S than with my SLR on my NN3 pano head... I just don't have it with me that often! Perhaps so...

Sorry, i mean a single row 360... not a 360x180. Can't think what you'd call it... But yeah, the single row 360s can easily have an un-centred horizon... as the OP has, and i've had many of. Don't have a screenshot to hand... but just imagine a single row 360 with the camera pointing slightly upwar...

Produce the swf file with AutoPano Tour and you get the option to adjust the Vertical offset in the Panorama Properties... This is exactly what you want, and it works well :-) I've shot quite a few 360 panos which are centred above the horizon to get an amazing sky in, and suffered the same until i...

OK, when i say ultimate, i'm referring to the exceptionally flat horizon in the scene... It's not the worst example of a stepped or wavy horizon in the pano... i have had others which were a lot worse. And this one only shows up bad when you zoom in (especially to the full resolution image)... and ...

And this one only shows up bad when you zoom in (especially to the full resolution image)... and it will definitely show up when i print this off in large format... But why would you want to? Zoom in or print... ??? I guess we should just print off the individual photos and pin them to th...

OK, here's the ultimate example of where i've had problems... This pano comes up with not a very straight horizon. Some image pairs are stepped and some meet ok but the horizon dips down to the join. ??? best, Klaus OK, when i say ultimate, i'm referring to the exceptionally flat horizon in the sce...

I have used the Verticals tool a few times to straighten out some of my panos. With mixed results. The main problem is that it distorts the whole pano and doesn't move an image relative to it's neighbour, like i need to half the time. None of the pano editor tools but two can change the relative po...

"The main problem is that it distorts the whole pano and doesn't move an image relative to it's neighbour," ?? Using the vertical lines tool corrects the whole image when you use it in several parts of it. It may not "move" an image - but it "forms" the images so they fit together correctly. Moving...

']You can achieve similar results using the current Vertical lines tool. I strongly suggest looking into: http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Geometry_Editing#Set_Verticals http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/How_to_straighten_a_panorama Cheers for the links. I'll check them out lat...

Horizon tool...

This tool would help with two things. 1) neighbouring images who's horizon's don't match up when stitched together... 2) panos that end up with wiggly horizons. What i'd like is a horizontal line that we could "clip" chosen points in an image to... A bit like clipping/pegging clothes to a clothes li...

But i'd like the option then, of having it work in context with the task at hand...
Having options in the GUI will then help everyone's workflow
And remember, it used to work without the Alt until a couple of releases ago...

The alt is needed because the mouse wheel is needed in many mode to switch from one image to another over a zone ( in layer mode for example ). Doing the alt allow both usage at the same time : switching from one image to another over a given location and zooming in/out with ALT. BTW: we were prett...

Indeed.
The main window used to have this same behaviour. But now doesn't.

Add Images default folder...

A small thing...
When adding images in the Layers box (and possibly other places?) The default directory it looks at is My Documents...
Could you make the default directory it looks at the same as the source images please? It seems to me to be the logical place to start looking.

Cheers
Rich.

These are the shortcuts for the pull-down menu items.
What i'd like is the old behaviour where any window resizing resizes the fitted pano.

Cheers
Rich.

Alt+mousewheel zooms for me... Ah yes! It does with me too. BUT Is there any real need to press the alt key to enable this??? The mouse wheel doesn't seem to be used for anything else, so there's no reason to require it... No point having unnecessary clicks eh? If there is some reason, could we hav...

No mouse wheel zooming in CP Editor any more :-(

Back a couple of versions ago, we used to be able to zoom into the selected images in the Control Point Editor. How come this feature then got removed? Please could we have it back? Or the option to enable it. Also, when zooming with the mouse wheel, could the image zoom around where the mouse point...

No 'fit picture' zoom any more? :-(

The 'fit picture' zoom feature has been removed from the zoom list... How come??? I know there's the two options in the pull-down menu to 'Fit Pano/Projection in window', but these don't resize when the windows or layer/etc boxes are resized. This is a bit annoying, especially as it used to... and w...

I see Microsoft ICE has this feature...
Tho it can be moved in all directions...
What i was originally thinking of is that only the yaw could be adjusted... or at least optionally locked... as often the pano has been straightened but just need 'centering'.

Mouse Dragging Yaw Adjustment

When creating 360 degree panoramics, would it be possible allow the adjustment of the yaw by clicking n dragging the mouse cursor. Basically like how many of the panoramic viewers work. I guess when you selected this new tool of the tool bar, the image would be fitted to screen and then when you dra...
