Any news regarding 2.6 beta3 or newer? I just returned with 20GB of photos and I'd like to know how long to hold stitching off if you can give a date :]
Since the whole AP interface is themed by AP and not by the operating system/window manager (except for the elements that were overlooked, which this bug report is about), and since the background of the un-styled text is always light (in both dark and light AP themes), it makes sense to set all tex...
To trigger the problem in Linux: 1- Fire up "qtconfig > Tune Palette" and set "Text" to #FF0000 (as in the attached screenshot). Apply the settings. If you're using KDE4 then your qtconfig won't have a "Tune Palette" button. Instead, fire up "System Settings > Application Appearance > Colors > Color...
The Render settings are quite simple: Anti-ghost and HDR file format (.hdr or .exr (OpenEXR)). Do not use the HDR output profile because it is only useful for creating a HDR panorama from LDR sources files. In this case, we already have the source in HDR. http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/images-en/b...
You probably missed this bug because your system color theme uses black as your font color. Change it to something else, e.g. red, and you will see the problem on your own machines.
If your CPU usage is maxed out, you cannot differentiate between valid crunching and an infinite loop. I think the only thing that could tell you that APG is not stuck in a loop is monitoring disk activity.
When letting Autopano develop your raw files, the created TIFF files have no ICC profile assigned. They are just a bunch of raster images with each pixel having one of 65535 possible values per channel. If you feed AP images with an assigned profile, AP will retain that profile in the output pano, a...
Thank you for your reply GURL, I read it on time but decided to try things out again before replying. It's all as you wrote it. AP still needs its preview fixed when using exposure fusion (I filed a bug report, you probably saw it). It would also be great if we could create real HDR panos from LDR s...
The progress bar will freeze indefinitely if I don't move the mouse or use the keyboard. The moment I move the mouse over the preview, the progress continues, but if I don't, it freezes. Steps to reproduce: 1- change the yaw parameter in the layers panel, DO NOT MOVE THE MOUSE. Change from -2 to 5 j...
6- Every time I change a value and hit enter, the panorama gets updated. This only takes 1-3 seconds when using GPU mode, but it gets annoying if you're editing 50-100 images. Annoying isn't the biggest problem though. The real problem is that if you try editing another value while the preview is up...
1- I use the layers editor a lot, mostly in order to align images with no possible checkpoints (e.g. plain sky shots at a long focal length). This requires changing many yaw/pitch/roll values, as well as sorting images in various ways (by bracket, by stack, reset layers). AP keeps resetting the colu...
Very impressive, I usually say that the larger the panorama the worse it looks due to all the changes in light and difficulty in post-processing, but the GigapixelTour guys handled these difficulties very well, well done!
Whilst this advice will of course yield better results it has to be remembered that many people (myself included) own budget priced compact (pocket sized) digital cameras Budget cameras offer budget photos :] Compact cameras sometimes have a manual mode. If not, pay attention to the automatic expos...
I downloaded the whole pack. The problem is that you shot them on auto mode. Photoshop, as suggested here, is not the answer. Next time you shoot a pano set your camera into manual mode and you will avoid all problems. If you need more dynamic range, bracket your shots. If you really need this speci...
Yes, high quality images from this excellent camera. Sadly, the automatic mode is ####, which makes this camera no good for people who only want/need auto.
