Re: Hosting/publishing tours

BTW, based on the list posted above, I signed up for a free Wix.com site... only to find out they do not support ftp. Therefore, I don't think there is a way to upload Panotour files there...

Bummer. Apart from that, they seemed pretty darn good.

Re: Hosting/publishing tours

Ooooh, great catch! Thanks Mediavets!

As I mentioned on another post, I wish all doc pages and videos would clearly label which version was applicable for that particular post.

Re: Hosting/publishing tours

Thank you AlanS for this good info. I was about to post a similar question but then I found this so let me thank you in the name of the OP... ;-) I also found some related info on the Kolor site, including coding examples, here: http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Panotour_-_Web_publishing I...

How can I limit the manual rotation speed ?

Hello all. I am finally moving on to Panotour. Just bought the base 2.0 version. Very interesting so far. As always, it is a bit tricky to learn v2 while most of the videos are made with v1 but that is part of the job I suppose. I wish that all video were clearly labeling which version they are were...

OK, I dug a little deeper and I think Klaus and Hans are on to something. I opened the Image Properties icon and there APG seems to be very confused about which focal length was being used in those images. So I entered 28mm manually, re ran the detection and it worked like a charm! So it seems that ...

Thanks everyone. All my settings are at default. So basically, I open the folder, it finds the 5 images shown in this screen grab and I hit Detect. It looks like it is choosing Fisheye for lens settings. The 35mm equivalent for these shots was 28mm so Fisheye seems like a bit of a strong term. http:...

Thanks Martin.

Is there a way to select all non green points? Sometimes they are hiding in a pile of green ones and it is hard to select them each individually.

Latest APG version creates strange wave patterns

I had to leave APG on the backburner for about 8 months. I recently got back into it and downloaded the latest version of 3.x (I have 3.0.8) And I notice that I suddenly get a large number of detections that create crazy wave patterns as shown in the example below. This happens even after I go into ...

Thank you very much, Klaus, Mediavets, Artisan, marzipan, Destiny, Ambilaman and grunt. I really appreciate all your thoughts and suggestions. My apologies for not replying sooner, but when the tests I ran for this did not work out, I spent some time with the client exploring more tried and true opt...

Hmm, interesting. Thank you. I am running a test right now. I think the "Multiple Viewpoints" still need to be fairly close or APG cannot stretch the perspective enough.

Is it possible to shoot a pano by moving the camera AROUND a subject?

So, a "standard" pano is shot from a single vantage point. But a client of mine who has a brand new building that just finished wants to shoot a series of shots by MOVING AROUND the front of the building. In other words shoot the first shot right in front of the building aiming at the front door. Th...

APG 3.01 - Mac. Has %a changed meaning in 3.0?

In v2, when you entered %a in the "Render" Preferences pane for the name of the file to be saved, it translated into the name of the folder which was great. But in v3, the same %a now translates into the name of the first image in the folder. This doesn't make much sense for the name of a panorama. ...

Darn. I just checked this thread and realize that the link I was trying to insert in my post of Sept 22 did not show up. So here is the idea for a horizon straightening tool that has been discussed for a long time: http://www.kolor.com/forum/t10313-an-easy-horizon-straightening-tool This would be re...

Klaus,

Read this post for what this horizon tool would look like.

Alexandre himself said that it would be easy to do. This was 3 or 4 years ago... and nothing ever happened.

Neutralhazer keeps asking me to re Register.

Hmmm.... this is getting really annoying. I purchased NH and I am using Photoshop CS3. I open the plugin and click on the "Register Neutralhazer" button. I enter the lengthy code (which cannot be copied and pasted from the registration email btw - really painful) and click OK. That works fine as lon...

Apart from this, APP/APG is more awesome in each release!

I should add that the only doc I have found related to the fusion editor is here:

http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/LDR_/_HDR_-_Workflow_case_B

But that still does not explain what exactly Dark Enhancement and Light Enhancement do.

Excellent idea, Martin. Thank you. For some reason I thought there would be an APG specific option to say "Apply THIS saved .pano file to THAT updated set of images". Since neutralhazer is part of the program, i thought there would be a more integrated way to "update" the pano with the dehazed image...

How to re-use the same settings and control points after neutralhazer?

I have a simple set of 5 images. I stitched them with APG but they didn't stitch very well at first. So I went into the control points editor to make it work right. I rendered it and now it is starting to look decent. But now I want to try using neutralhazer on those images. I run it on those 5 sour...

Fusion Editor explanation?

I certainly love Autopano and have used it with great success for many years but I have to say ... the documentation is sometimes a little, uh, challenging. But obviously this means that Alexandre and friends are spending their time on improving the software even more, which is awesome. Anyway, I ha...
