Destiny, I generally shoot RAW, and usually use PM for HDR, so I think that converting up and down isn't necessary. But I would like APP to become an "all in one" solution so I don't have to do the HDR stuff, then bring it into APP. Besides, if you shoot at longer lengths, some images are going to b...

That's a tough one. I would render full-sized and then use PS, Bridge, Lightroom or even a stanalone resize application that works in batch mode.

Takes more disk space, but disks are cheap.

Well, you're using APP in a way its not intended to be used. But many of us do that also. Ghost removal is intended to remove cars, people, etc that get in your shot when you take a pano. You want it to do the opposite. That feature has been requested, but has not yet been implemented. Also, it soun...

Stacks and AEB

Sometimes you need more than +/- 2 Ev brackets. But many cameras allow only 3 shots in a bracketed set, up to 2 Ev apart. I think it would be easy to shoot a +/- 2 EV bracketed set centered at 1 Ev, then another centered at 7 Ev and another centered at - 5 Ev. This would give me shots at -7, -5, -3,...

Two methods come to mind: 1. Render and check "pictures" - see http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Autopano_Giga_2.5_-_Render#EXPORTED_DATA Then use photoshop to manipulate the pano 2. erase all the stuff where the kids are on the other pictures, then input the images to APP. the first way i...

Try "browse folder", select the average number of images to be 3, and set the maximum time lapse to be a second or two.

It IS a fisheye! And it´s the only Canon lens i have. Others are manual Nikon lenses adapted for the Canon. Like them better.
So i don´t own a "L" lens . .

I keep on forgetting that the guy behind the camera is more important than the lens :)

Just remembered the 1/4" screw is a 1/4-20 (20 is the thread pitch).

This google search may help http://www.google.com/search?q=1/4-20+photo+tripod&hl=en&safe=off&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=shop

If you're on a budget, buy the cheapest model in the newest technology CPU (ie SandyBridge) and upgrade it in a few years when the price comes down.

Also, you can never have enough RAM :)

I have done the handiwork, moved some pictures and deleted some pictures with no links from the panorama. Then I have rendered it with "no antighost". The resulting panorama is 19 gigapixel and the PSB-file is 103 GB. So what is the result ? Better than expected, but still room for refinement ! As ...

Make sure all the CPs are on the furthest objects (these are all interior panos, right?) and hope smartblend removes the ghosts caused by parallax. Then include images in your output and PS as needed.

Use stacks. Manually stack each bracket, and then tell APG to only link one layer (group settings, detection tab, "detect links in:" and check "one stack level". Then output one file with layers enabled. See http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Autopano_Giga_2.5_-_Bracket_:_Using_Stacks

AFIK, Android and iPhone have GPS, motion sensors, compass, etc. Has anyone written an app to take panos that uses the sensors to help you keep the phone's NPP in one place?

Putting the target onto the screw at the axis of rotation (yaw) is a nice touch, and makes for an easier setup.
