George, I want an option that causes ALL 4 blends to be generated with the current settings. Saves me a lot of clicking and waiting. Yes I can imagine other users will want other series, well that only leads to more options like the one I want, maybe even combinateable. Would be nice to wake up in ...

Manual intervention would be ok, but APP could determine compass direction if you had two or more panos in the project and at least one hotspot in each pano pointing to another pano. (assuming all panos have reasonable geotags). And assuming you placed the hotspots reasonably well in relation to the...

Alexandre, Will it be possible/viable to use this feature to stitch in an 'offset' nadir image - taken at an angle from one side - as can be done (I'm told) using PTGui Pro's Viewpoint Correction feature? http://www.ptgui.com/examples/vptutorial.html Please consider that we may have more than one n...

1. read the support pages (faq) about how to set up a panohead. 2. Depending on your lens, "broken lines" may be unavoidable. If you can get the center horizontal and vertical lines to match up, the edges may not due to lens distortion. 3. APP will rotate an image in all three axises (pitch roll and...

GIMP is open source. Just get the code and change the restrictions. Its only software. ;)

Some P&S have GPS built in, and Nikon seems to have it as an addon to some DSLR bodies.

But PhotoTrackr (GPS logging device) allows modifying JPGs and claims to let you modify the RAW files.

Lets not get too complicated, or we'll have pages of sticky threads before the regular entries :)

Just one thread for anything interesting, perhaps more than APP releases, but only really interesting stuff. We probably won't get more than one post a month.

http://dancarrphotography.com/blog/2010/08/25/canon-8-15mm-f4-l-the-fisheye-zoom-lens/ says 1400 dollar If the optics etc are good I can surely see a market for it, but likely professionals only :-) That's not a bad price for an "L" lens. Can you use a clear thumbnail? (I.e. a transparent GIF or PNG)

Yes, or try just using a few manual CPs and see if APP distorts the image. Never tried that, but it may work.

But you may have to resort to Content aware scale or liquify.

Don't know that you'd have to compute the position of either camera. Just imagine two camera positions, A and B where A can see B. Camera A will take an image that is sort of a cone with a rectangular cross section with camera B at its center. The image from position A will have all the information ...

Automatic Hotspot Generator

Don't know if this makes sense or not. If I shoot a bunch of panos, and I can see from one tripod position to another, then there should be a matching area in the two panos, one larger than the other. Could SIFT or some other algorithm be used to find hotspots this way? Would this be worthwhile, or ...

"HDR" originally means to generate a 32bit/ch floating-point file. Hi Klaus, you forgot "with more than 14 (or whatever) bits that matter" Of course a 12/14bit RAW contains a wider tone-range than an 8bit JPG - but experiences show that using 3 JPG versus 3 RAW doesn´t mean lesser performance gene...

With your group 8, you have far too many links. Get rid of the long ones.

1. eliminate the links where the colored box with the RMS value falls over the circle with the picture number in it.
2. eliminate any links that are not at 0 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees, or 135 degrees.

then reoptimize.

GPU works great for previews. You can always let the render run overnight, but when you're adding and deleting CPs and playing with color anchors, the GPU speedup is valuable.
