Save .pano to image directory

How about adding an option to save the .pano files to the directories with the images in it? Currently it seems to default to the last directory used.

If you are using a Canon camera, and downsized the images, See http://forum.autopano.net/t1344-1.3.1-a1-fixed-wrong-lens-length-when-downsizing-canon-pictures To change FL, when you load the images into the left hand window, select all (and make sure that all images are selected, CTL-A is a toggle) ...

Select all in group window toggles selected file

If I select on file in the group window and then type ctl-A, all files are selected except the file that was selected. ctl-A seems to act as a toggle.

I selected two files in the group window, typed ctl-A, and those two files were not selected.

Right click should not select new image or link

In the CP editor, on the main window, left clicking on an ellipse will cycle through all images and links. Right clicking will also select the next image or link. I'd like right click to use the "top" (i.e. visible) image or link.

Grouping in layers--add flash

We can group pictures by Shutter Speed, aperture, and ISO. I'd like to see Flash added at least to shutter speed, so we would get something like:

Groups
1 second flash off
2 seconds flash off
0.5 seconds flash off
0.5 seconds flash on

or even better
0.5 seconds flash 0EV
0.5 seconds flash +2EV

I'm using the Planer older 20", 700:1 contrast ratio. The newer one has a 1000:1 contrast ratio. But LED monitors are supposed to be better than LCD if you can afford the $2,000 or so to purchase them :-)

OK, but not too small of a thumbnail (or use a loupe to enlarge it) I have a new 20" LCD monitor at 1600x1200, but I have old eyes, and so can't see the really small thumbnails :-) I was thinking of a horizontal ribbon below the main image. Most of my panos are longer than they are wide, and leave a...

When adding support ofr displaying/hidding layers, will that also affect the CP editor? that is, if I only display one layer, then only the links for that layer will be dispalyed? This also helps if you were to make a pano with one layer using ambient light, one using flash, one with the room lights...

']Yes, that's what I meant with the "container" comment above... The images can be ordered by index numbers and not lens distorted, ready to be drag/dropped in the pano. However, a similar "wait for Enter key" state should be helpful, so one can move many images around before the optimization takes...

DESIGN IDEA In fact, you would like a drop'zone, like a rubban outside the preview zone. You drag pictures there and where they are stored temporary. When you need them, you drag them back in the preview zone. We could think to design such a feature which sounds great. In fact, unlinked picture for...

Just tested this idea on a 360x180 degree pano. I can't enlarge the canvas without enlarging the image (which fills up the canvas.)

The "guess" feature is doing just that - guessing. It may or may not be successful. In the four cases I tried, it guessed wrong twice :) So, technically, you cannot label a wrong guess as a bug :) Yes, it is a guess. I grabbed some images from a pano, then realized I had left some out, added them i...

Hi Alexandre, Yes, I understand that spherical is distorted. My issue is that I have to use a spherical projection for a one row pano because I have a 111 degree HFOV. And I may have three or more exposures per position. So if there is an unlinked image, it gets hidden in with the good images. If I ...

[1.3.1 A1] Unlinked pictures

Unlinked pictures are put in with the main pano. Dragging them to the bottom (as in Alexandre's movie) doesn't work for me--I use a 5D with 12mm lens, and so have a 111 degree HFOV, so dragging the images puts them in the vertex or nadir and distorts them badly. Also, this will not work for spherica...

HDR issues

I have been using easyHDR and Photomatix with APP output. Both programs have the same issue of handling blown pixels--they seem to ignore them. I took a pano of a room with a very bright fluorescent light and a couple of windows. The lights and windows were blown out in the brightest pictures. Photo...

Great, my first thought was up and down arrow, but people may expect that the four arrows (up, down, left and right) will move the picture. The + and - on the numeric keypad work for me, but not for those with a laptop that doesn't have a numeric keypad. Perhaps changing the angle could also be done...

Very nice, I think this adds a lot of functionality.

Just one question, how do I rotate pictures if I don't have a wheel on my mouse? (its actually a 3 button trackball).

Mask/alpha channel Generation

In the case of a multi exposure bracketed pano, several panos will be generated. I'd like to be able to generate either a mask for each layer, or an alpha channel for each layer. 1. show only one layer (or a couple, as in photoshop). 2. show a histogram for a selected layer (this means that I also w...

Lens lenght, distortion reset

Some pano's give a view with circles around the pictures if they are not stitched properly. (this is with a 5D and 12 mm lens, so it may be some fisheye artifact). Sony has now a reflex ... perhaps some fisheye lenses is planned for it ( perhaps, it already exists ... don't know ).
