Re: Issue with 59.94 Footage [SOLVED]

As a side note I've had some luck dropping XAVC-S 4K .mp4 from A7sII into AVP, but when I did it 6 months ago there seemed to be like a memory leak and clips beyond 16 minutes render time would progressively slow down to almost nothing. Since then any A7sII ive gotten has been external recorder/pror...

Re: The struggle: How do you stitch properly?

High end VFX companies charge 10 000 dollars a finished minute for many reasons. One of them is the extensive rotoscope/paint work that needs to be done for a seamless stitch. It's just the nature of the beast. Try and block your action/subject is in the view of single camera, and if somethings cros...

Re: Is the merger intelligent?

No it isnt, and it also is a prompt in AVP and not a separate app so you can't use AVP while it's running.

pano is pixelated on high DPI display (windows 10)

When I run giga on an UHD display it produces a very pixelated image in the viewer.

Re: merge tool batch merge files & and make it different pro

merge tool is a window with-in the program. You can not use AVP the same time you are using the merge tool.

The merge tool should be it's own process or program so it doesn't interfere with running AVP.

Re: Template for Nokia Ozo

If you go on a nice roof top and just use control points on the horizon you can spin the ozo on a pan head to calibrate each lens individually.

Re: Better sync

Sound is not reliable for sync. Gopro's will vary their sound recording start time based on wifi or other internal conditions. They can be up to 5 frames off.

The only true reliable way to sync is with a strobe light.

merge tool batch merge files & and make it different process

It's really tedious to manually merge each set of cameras. Is there no way to build the tool to automatically find the GO/GP file names and pair them. Point the tool at the gopro's .MP4 directory and batch merges all the files and adds a prefix to them (Cam1_, Cam2, etc etc) Right now there is no wa...

Remember directories

The Merge tool and may other parts of AVP does not remember previously used directories. For example I have a seperate drive I place my renamed and merged clips onto and every single time I have to chance the directory to point to it. It gets very tedious.

Re: timecode pass thru of audio source

Every gopro stripes it's .mp4 file with a timecode based on the time of day. Whenever something this rendered from AVP this number becomes zero. Every. single. shot. There is no way to organize shots properly. If I go back and rerender a segment on the AVP .kava out of the shot it also comes out at ...

Put the .kava file in the cineform.

Why not leverage the extensive metadata flexibility of cineform? I remember being able to include entire several dimensions of stereographic orientation/alignment, time and date, gps, camera settings, and even script notes when shooting stereoscopic SI-2K cineform raw footage back in the day. Why no...

timecode pass thru of audio source

Is this on the horizon for this version?

It's a real headache taking an edit made from low res quick stitch renders and re-conforming it from 4K render selects as anything you render out of AVP starts at 00:00:00:00

Re: Export each camera individually?

Autopano giga already supports openEXR. Why not drop the useless Tiff rendering option and allow us to render a multichannel EXR image sequence? Main channel being the full stitched comp and every subsequent channel being each camera in the stitch isolated with alpha channel. To really be great ther...

Re: Template for Nokia Ozo

If you want to stitch Nokia footage correctly the only viable pipeline is CARA VR. https://www.thefoundry.co.uk/products/cara-vr/ I use it extensively for all final delivery. Autopano Video is excellent for stitching editorial proxies and rushes but if you are delivering projects at beyond 6K then i...

Slog2/Slog3 support for A7s and other log cameras?

So it seems by chance that XAVC-S .mp4 files read perfectly fine in autopano video. The issue is that the incredibly flat color space of the video causes the fisheye vignette detection and general match finding have a really tough time. It also means the color/exposure matcher does a substandard job...

Re: Timelapse Video

Photos are a better option for heat and power. If you have access to the rig physically try and have go a few times a day/night and blast all cameras with a light at night, or cover with a bag in the day for a few frame captures. This way you can find these sync points across the cameras and adjust ...

Re: artifacting on single camera in stitch

29.97 fps. Rendering at 8192 x 4096, or 9000 x 4500, or 5160 x 2580, all of them cause the artifact. Only staying below 4096 works.

Re: artifacting on single camera in stitch

GPU is not a viable solution. That puts my render speed to 0.04fps

It is in fact the entire left 1/3 of the stitch. It does not appear on the right side. It also starts abruptly.
