Re: 80+ Tours - One Master Floorplan

Edited: just read back and seen that you're already using the krpano test server. So hopefully you're halfway there anyway. Is it just the way your files are currently organised that's the issue? Or maybe just the way the URL is being specified? Curiosity has got the better of me and just tried the ...

Re: loooots of bugs -1

on what size would you reccomend? right now my panos are 18000x9000 pixels
That's not excessive; although you could try 12000 to 15000 width and see if there's a decent performance trade-off.

Anyone more experienced than I think that's unreasonable?

Re: Map zoom [SOLVED]

Yeah, removing and re-adding the plugin got rid of the crash issue; I can now set zoom via the plugin. Irritatingly though, when the map is subsequently re-displayed in the editor that zoom level does not seem to be re-applied (although the zoom amount that you set is actually retained). So if, for ...

Re: Map zoom [SOLVED]

Ah. I now realise why I subconsciously went to set this in the XML. After initially setting co-ordinates, the map plugin editor crashes whenever I try and open it. I'd moved on a couple of days ago because it wasn't bothering me, but if that's where zoom amount is set then, yes it's bothering me now...

Map zoom [SOLVED]

Please consider adding a 'map zoom level' setting to the Panotour Maps plugin GUI; i.e. the default zoom amount when the map appears.

I realise this can currently be changed in the XML.

Re: Still photo descriptions - a better way? [SOLVED]

Thanks Cliquetsy I'll give that a try. If the description opens with the photo it will do nicely. And it also sounds like an easier way of adding descriptions than my current cludge! Edit: Works fine. I like the fact that you can turn off gallery-related controls so you can get 'just' a single photo...

Still photo descriptions - a better way? [SOLVED]

Hi Working in PTP 2.5, I'm trying to display descriptions with some of my still photos. The only way I've found so far is less than elegant. So I'm wondering if there's a better way. So before discussing the merits of my method ... what's the recommended way of doing this? I can't find any relevant ...

Re: Still photo orientation issue

Hi Benjamin I'm PMing you a link for the tour. Ignore any photo descriptions that pop up - they are irrelevant to the problem. Click on the 'foyer' hotspot. Close the description but leave the photo up. Move the pano so you can see the 'clinic entrance' hotspot. Click that hotspot so that the foyer ...

Re: loooots of bugs -1

what i noticed as well, is that the panorama images load REALLY slow The still image files are large, both pixel dimensions and physical size. If you optimise them for web viewing you can reduce the file sizes considerably without compromising on quality. Would also be worth constraining your panor...

Still photo orientation issue

Hi Take a pano with multiple still photos, some landscape and some portrait. Click on a portrait photo hotspot. Without closing it click on a landscape photo hotspot. The orientation of the original photo is maintained; i.e. the landscape photo is displayed squashed into portrait format. The reverse...

Re: Flash elements

I don't think that will be the case, in any event the file will have unique URLs once uploaded to the web server. It would depend how the tour project was originally replicated. If the project was renamed and the data folders are different then it may be okay. If the data folders have the same name...

Re: Flash elements

It sounds to me like they want four separate tours on one single web page. Panotour's output is of course one single tour on a single web page. If this is what they want ... ... what would the page look like? Four tours one directly after the other would be nonsensical and unusable. So do they want ...

Re: Help with Responsive Design Output

I haven't yet been rigorously testing on mobile devices, but I would be asking the same question. So is it in the Kolor roadmap to be making Pantour output more adaptive/responsive ... rendering according to viewport, using different styles etc? If so, how far ahead? The move to making HTML5 the def...

Re: "Column" mount for a pano head?

Ah, I see. An interesting thought. But I would image it would be difficult to take a good series of shots including top'n'bottom when your centre of rotation is never fixed; it wouldn't even be fixed for the principle 360º shots never mind the zenith and nadir. It's not so much seeing under the balc...

Re: NN3

For others in the UK looking for NN kit do consider other European resellers. I ordered my NN4 and accessories from Kolor (France) and saved quite a bit on UK prices. Also Mauro Contrafatto (NN's Customer Service Manager) from the NN Dealer / Warranty Centre in Italy ( http://www.360way.it ) was inc...

Re: "Column" mount for a pano head?

For example 1, you could use a pole. What specifically do you mean by 'pole'? I've yet to see a freestanding pole with a stable weighted base and a camera mount that is in any way portable (albeit minimally) which, for this purpose, would be my idea of a pole! I find it hard to envisage a space in ...

"Column" mount for a pano head?

G'day folks I'm wondering what solutions people have used where a normal tripod is even more of a hinderance than normal (the ideal solution being a camera that hovers effortlessly in mid-air around the entrance pupil =D ). Two specific examples are: 1) Where you want to get a view vertically down a...

Re: Lost my way with Compass [SOLVED]

Okay, I can get the behaviour that I need for this particular tour, which does require a compass on a planar pano. If I set the compass direction under 'spherical' output projection, then change the projection back to 'planar', the compass setting is retained and I get a static compass with that bea...

Lost my way with Compass [SOLVED]

Hi Folks Panotour newbie here. Been getting to grips with the software and have a pretty good feel for what's going on. However I'm having a problem with the compass. I have a tour which includes a non-360º planar pano. All of the other panos are spherical. I have a Compass control. As you'll know i...
