Maximum allowable image movement

For people that have motorized panoramic heads like the panoneed that produce xml files, a feature that would limit the movement of an image (for example +- 1 degree ) would be quite useful, especially for difficult cases like featureless horizons. As these devices are quite accurate, it is a pity t...

Re: Which 85mm is best for Spheres??

Did you try the "second-curtain-method"? Josef implemented the feature to the controller´s firmware some time ago. This way the camera "tells" the head when the sequence is finished and the head can go to the next position. Definitely this is a GREAT feature when you use AF or A...

Re: Which 85mm is best for Spheres??

I have a PromoteControl but i use it only for focus-ramping actually. Bracketing is done by my Canon 5D2/s or my Nikon D800/s internal bracketing-functions - this way the head trigers the camera ONCE at each position and the camera shoots THREE resp. FIVE shots each time. Ok you just saved me a hug...

Re: Which 85mm is best for Spheres??

Here´s my xml for a 85mm and 360x180°. I have the controller set to ONE release on each position but have the camera fire 3 shots bracketed each time. I don´t even need to set a wait-time because the camera tells the head when it has finished the three or more shots at each position - so that the h...

Re: Which 85mm is best for Spheres??

Well done so far ;) ! Did you use focus-stacking? Hi Klaus, thanks for your kind words. I did not use focus stacking, I used auto-focus via live view. I believe the large overlap with the small aperture allowed for minimizing the out of focus parts, but this is an area that i am actively researchin...

Re: Which 85mm is best for Spheres??

Hi all, I am using the Nikon 85mm f/1.8 with the excellent Panoneed robotic head. My camera is the D600. I should mention here that Josef provides the best support I have ever seen for any product, and the construction and quality is really top-notch, so I would recommend it 100% for anyone interest...

Re: Multiple focal length workflow

I just had an idea, can I create a panorama of the 200mm images, and then drag it into the 35mm one?

Re: Multiple focal length workflow

Yes you are right, I have seen that too. Is this a hard limit or can it be bypassed?

Multiple focal length workflow

Hello, I am a new user of your great software, and I have this use case: I want to make a panorama using my 35mm lens (Sigma 35mm F/1.4) and to zoom in some far away areas with my 200mm lens. I have a Nikon D600 and I use the excellent Panoneed panorama head. Which is the best workflow in order to a...
