Re: Autopano is dead, don't bother posting in the Future for

That's not true. Autopano Giga is a strong product which provides the engine behind Autopano Video. Even if the development is slower currently as we concentrating our effort on stitching video, the development continues. We have some nice features lineup for next big version ( aka autopano v5 ). T...

Re: more automation: nadir image always viewpoint optimized

It seems to me that a saved Template could include this information, so that we would not need to set it manually on every pano. Um, you already can set this option in "Settings -> Optimization", making it active for every pano you create afterwards? No, that would set viewpoint optimizat...

automation: nadir image (only) always viewpoint optimized

I use a NN Nadir Adapter for the nadir images. Even with careful tripod movement, the nadir image will always need - or at least benefit from - "Viewpoint optimization". It seems to me that a saved Template could include this information, so that we would not need to set it manually on eve...

Re: Plugin for manual heads

Wouldn't it be easier to use APG to get a good stitch on a pano (something indoors with lots of texture to get good stitching - no blank walls), then "Export to Papywizard" to create the XML? That's how I do it, and it seems to work.

Re: MASK BRUSH

Do you incorporate the zenith and nadir shots in the stitch? Re: MASK BRUSH

I would also like to see a mask brush / polygon selection. Here's two examples why: So would I. At the very least, the ability to save and re-use marker locations. When I do spherical panos, every one requires markers to mask-out the tripod and mask-in the top of the zenith to avoid lines where the...

Re: Super resolution with autopano?

Doubling the resolution this way simply is a somewhat ridiculous joke, sorry. Well, a) I don't think you're sorry and b) you're incorrect. Characterizing photoacute's results as a "ridiculous joke" just doesn't stand up. Single-image interpolation (such as Lanczos resampling) has signific...

Re: Super resolution with autopano?

What you call "superresolution" is something different and - i repeat - does NOT increase your resolution in terms of a bigger amount of pixels That isn't correct. Have a look at the link previously provided: http://photoacute.com/tech/superresolution_faq.html The resulting images are fou...

Re: Autopano 4 whislist

Re-useable masks. Mask-in, and mask-out, applied in a template. If we can't have ptgui-style full masks, at least have re-useable markers, applied in a template. Also image group templates allowing custom, re-useable viewpoint correction. I need viewpoint correction only, and always, on the nadir. R...

Re: Masking feature

I should have said thank-you for the offers of help - they are appreciated. It's just that a) I think my shooting pattern is good - it is quite common, and b) I think the core issue is reusable masking. You don't have a problem, you just have an opinion ;-) Okay - is the shooting pattern listed abo...

Re: Masking feature

Then there is the issue of masking-in. Many of my zenith shots are not used by APG, so I get a triangular color distortion / fuzziness at zenith where the around shots merge. What camera/lens and shooting pattern are you using? Full-frame Nikon, samyang 8mm (removeable hood), 3 around, one Z at+75,...

I have tried that (masking-out tripods with an alpha channel), but find it as bad or worse in terms of time, because of disruption in workflow. Then there is the issue of masking-in. Re: Masking feature

The issue is both masking, and stored masks. For example, I use a consistent pattern (three around, zenith, nadir), and end up doing the same hand-entered clicks on all of the zenith and nadir shots. Takes too much time, and is inconsistent. If a mask (masking-in the center of the zenith, and maskin...

Re: 1.8 Map equivalent in 2.0?

Thank you, but those are street maps. I need an image with hotspots, as worked in 1.8 (it was called "Map", not "Panotour Maps"). I think that would be a floor plan, but I am unable to see how to have it start small in one location and expand (on a click) to another.

[SOLVED] 1.8 Floorplan equivalent in 2.0?

I am re-doing a tour from 1.8 to 2.0. The original has, in the Extra tab, a Map that starts small (Closed) in the lower-left and, on click, Opens to the upper-left, larger. It is an aerial shot of the campus with hotspots for panoramas. I can't find an equivalent in 2.0. The best I have found is a F...

On the licensing issue: I am sure there are ways to create a similar feature without infringing on Adobe patents. I don´t know any other app which provides this feature also! But - who knows . . =D best, Klaus The GIMP does it via plugins. "Heal Selection". It would be helpful for some na...
