Re: Help needed from feedback from a client

I have a pretty fast connection and the pano's load pretty quick for me. The loader bar, however, seems to fluctuate up and down as the tour loads. Not sure about the thumbnails on the bottom though, with that many scenes in the tour. With that many, the thumbnails have to re position. How about rem...

Re: Slow building in 2.1

Hi Gerald 1) Yes, the cache file is there. 2) They are loaded in low resolution. 3) Windows 8 4) it's a local directory on my laptop. All the files relating to the build are in the same sub directory (the PTP project file, the cache, the index html file and the index data directory). I've just chang...

Re: Slow building in 2.1

I have exactly the same issue. I created a tour in V2.0 and it opens in 2.1 slightly faster, but not so fast as to make much difference in things. The tour has twenty one scenes, and building now takes an age, even using an I7, with 12gb Ram. I added a nadir patch to all the scenes and so far it's b...

Re: how to set "first displayed panorama" [SOLVED]

Thanks for the prompt replies guys. I was hoping that there would be a feature within the software itself that I might have overlooked, but I guess not. I'll have a look at your suggestions. Ta!

Re: how to set "first displayed panorama" [SOLVED]

Is there any way for the first panorama to be one other than the first one listed in the "order" section as shown above. I'm creating a tour that has the entrance hallway as the first in the group/pano order, but actually want it to open inside the building?

Thanks for any help

Re: same view point as the previous panorama

Sorry I can't help on this, but I'll be watching this post with interest. I'm shooting a series of pano's as the build of my studio progresses, and would like to do the same thing. Each is shot from the same (single viewpoint) about a week after each other. It would be nice when clicking to the next...

Re: Display part of Panorama

I'm not an expert in PTP by any means, but if you never want to view past 215 degrees, couldn't you crop the equi before importing into PTP and selecting a "flat" output projection. That's what I did, when I didn't want to show a particularly ugly part of a construction site. just a sugges...

Re: Writing in the browser tab

Thanks for that snippet of information. I hadn't realised that you can alter the templates. That might come in handy for some things. In the past I have just edited that HTML file created when the tour is built, and changed the title. This might be easier if you want to use different titles for each...

Re: How to add more textboxes?

What do you mean by "responsive"? I haven't got around to looking at it in PTP 2.00. but in 1.8 just used a jpg with the required text and placed a pseudo [X] button at the bottom and a click here to close message that did the trick...

Re: Hosting/publishing tours

Because just embedding the SWF is not enough to get those functions to work with V2.x. Can you advise then, what I need to embed to allow them to work please? And/or what I need to do to be able to load the HTML5 version. if the platform doesn't support flash? If Zenfolio allowed Iframes then it wo...

Re: Hosting/publishing tours

The OP stated that his site is with Zenfolio. Mine is also with them and they block Iframes so that approach doesn't work. I'm trying to find a way around, but my coding skills aren't very good I'm afraid. I can embed the SWF file in a Zenfolio page as per these examples http://www.andrewlyonsphotog...

Re: Generated by Panatour

Just open the "index" file in notepad, before you upload the tour to your server, and edit the required text in the header. I've just looked at at your tour, and you've certainly put some effort in there. It did load a little slowly, which might be because there's an awful lot going on. Ha...
