Re: [SOLVED] Dealing with mirrors in pano shots

A dedicated taped (for focus) lens is a great idea. Actually - if one can afford it - a dedicated body attached to a pano head would be great too. I took a look at the Panoneed and it looks amazing! Are you doing something in photoshop to get rid of the tripod legs? It's very interesting to see thos...

Re: [SOLVED] Dealing with mirrors in pano shots

Sorry, I posted the update but didn't check to see if anyone had replied to it until now! =( For focus on the fisheye I zoom in on the LCD screen and then focus. But I also use charts to determine the depth of field that I need. But before I actual start shooting I do some test shots then put them o...

Re: [SOLVED] Dealing with mirrors in pano shots

UPDATE: For anyone who had been following along with this thread and was curious about the lenses I was using: I am now using the Rokinon 8mm fisheye most of the time. It is a lot sharper than I thought it was going to be. Although it's not as sharp as the Rokinon 14mm - which I find to be a surpris...

Re: Dealing with mirrors in pano shots

You are a magician! Thank you so much for doing that! My parents are selling this house (that I grew up in) and I thought Virtual Reality 360s would be the best way to remember the house the way I remembered it in the future - toilet seat up and everything! I'm in a big rush to get it all done and m...

Re: Dealing with mirrors in pano shots

What brand and model of pano head do you have? I'm using the Panosaurus. It was only 100 dollars but it seems to work. I've done a number of 360s that have come out flawless - just by doing everything auto. Actually all the ones I've done until the bathroom shot I used auto - shows how good the Aut...

Re: Dealing with mirrors in pano shots

It would be great if you wanted to play with the files! What is the best way to upload them? Zipping and uploading files is not something have done. Is it basically the same as uploading a photo? I used dropshots for the photos. Is there a good site for uploading zip files? I think this is what you ...

Wow! Magic! Now all the shots are where they should be. Any suggestions on how to proceed from here to finish it up? (photo below) Is it just a question of adding more control points? Or do I need to also look more closely at some of the red control points in the shots that were placed correctly nex...

Re: Dealing with mirrors in pano shots

UPDATE: you could not have been more right about the wallpaper. It just took me an hour to go through and delete dozens and dozens of groups of control points from shots that were mismatched with other shots. I read how to do that in a kolor tutorial but it is now telling me to: "Open the "...

Re: Dealing with mirrors in pano shots

Thanks for the reply, Nice observation, I didn't even think about the wallpaper. I'll try it again with less exposures. I always thought more was better, but if I can get good results with less I'll be very happy! And thanks for the link, that website is a good resource. I think my NPP is aligned co...

[SOLVED] Dealing with mirrors in pano shots

I've been having good luck with my 360 pano creations but I just tried to create one where there is a large mirror in the shot which is creating a double image of a window which is messing up my result. I have not learned how to fix any stitches manually. Would manual fixing help me in the situation...

Re: Image streched horizontally when viewing

What projection type are you using when rendering the pano in APP/APG? Spherical or Cylindrical? That was it right there! I was using the default Cylindrical. I just tried it with Spherical and the distortion is gone. Funny, since it's just 1 row of shots, I would have thought it would work just as...

Re: Image streched horizontally when viewing

The shots were taken with a Canon 60D (APC sensor) with a 12mm lens. There were 12 shots taken at 30 degree increments. The shot from Firefox that I posted was zoomed in quite a lot. The Original Chair shot was not zoomed in as much because it is just one of the single shots (I cropped the top and b...

Image streched horizontally when viewing

Hello, After creating 360 tour build and opening it in a Firefox Browser, I'm finding that the image is always stretched horizontally so that everything looks "fat". I understand there will be some distortion on the sides, but the images are always too wide - even in the center and zoomed ...

Re: Can .swf builds created on a mac be used on a PC?

it shouldn't matter if the tour was created on a PC or a Mac - it should play on both. Are you sure having moved all relevant files from the Mac to your PC? The .swf alone can´t work! Put ALL the tour-folder´s content on your PC. Klaus Well.... I was not doing that ....! I moved the whole build fol...

Re: Can .swf builds created on a mac be used on a PC?

Do you have all the uptodate Flash players on your PC Destiny.. I think I do. I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Flash Player and I also tried it on another PC. The only thing I can think of is that for some reason the trial version wont work on any other computer than the one it was created ...

Re: Can .swf builds created on a mac be used on a PC?

Thanks again, I created an HTML version and again, it worked on my Mac but not my PC.

For the HTML I just got an all white screen.

It seems it should work on both Mac and PC, but it doesn't seem to... at least not for me.

Re: Can .swf builds created on a mac be used on a PC?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm so new to this that I'm not sure the best way to view/open tours (or VRs) after I have created them. I have figured out how to take all the photos and assemble them to get a .swf but I'm not sure how to view it after that. I was able to open the one I made in Firefox on...

Can .swf builds created on a mac be used on a PC?

Using the Trial Version I created a 360 Pano in Autopano then created a .swf build in Panotour 1.8. Before buying the software (for a mac) I wanted to confirm I can view the VR on a PC. On the Mac I viewed it by opening the .swf file with Firefox. But when I moved the .swf file to my PC, it would no...
