Re: Compass and maps

I have a link to one pano from my start up pano.

It is only the roadmap that works and I would preferre satellite view.

Thanks, Now the compass works, I found the small icon on the picture.

Re: Compass and maps

Sorry if I am messing things up, I juste mean, that I assigned these coordinates for this particular pano, which have links to other panos, but the right maps is not showing up. The arrow on my floor plan is correct, but the compass is 180 degrees wrong. Edith: Now it works with the map. I changed f...

Re: Compass and maps

This position brings me to Geneve, but when I press the globe in PTP, then it correctly shows me öludenitz in Turkey. I have geotagged the start up picture of my show.

In the next picture I am looking straight north as the arrow on the floor plan shows, but my compass is 180 degrees wrong.

Compass and maps

I have oriented my floor plan to 320 degrees, which is the direction for the top of the map. In the tour the compass needle is 180 degrees wrong - if red is supposed to show north, which is normal. I can't find anywhere to set my open street map to the correct coordinates. It opens up in Paris. Funn...

Re: How big

Thanks for your input. I will use enfuse in LR first and export as full res tiffs and for sure that will speed up the process. The only drawback is, that I have to arrange the pictures in folder by myself.

Re: How big

I am shooting full res 5D3 RAW and think that an output around 6000x3000 is enough.

I could shoot smaller RAW´s or just convert them in Lightroom to a 2500x2500 tiff.

How big

I am on an 27" iMac 3.9 GHZ intell core 2 duo, 8 GB, 1067 Mhz DDR3 from 2009. When I load it up with 7x3 dng´s in APG things becomes very slow. Is my computer too old for APG? Things went faster if I resized the pictures to 2500 px TIF files, which should be enough for an output like 6000x3000....

PTgui or APG or both

I am considering buying Panotour Pro, but should I also buy APG. I have used PTgui for 10 years, so I am quite familiar with that program me, but APG looks very slick and has some features I do not find in PTgui. My question is, will my workflow be quicker with APG? Will my results be better? If I g...

Re: Will not update

Thanks, so I will not search any longer.

To click on the 100% icon between - and + did not help. Hope they will fix it.

Re: Will not update

Thanks.
I also got an issue with the tumbnails on the left side. Some are big and some are small. Is it a signal to me about they are missing some parameters?

Re: Will not update

I think I had "rebuild all tiles" turned on, because in 2.0 it works great. My fault. What I am now missing was the zoom effect from mini world to the pano. I think it was a nice way to start the show. When I opened the project in 2.0 the effect was gone and I can not find it here? I would...

Re: Will not update

Thanks. Now I switched to 2.0 and will try to go slow.

No 1.8 did not build the changes in seconds, it made nothing, before I rendered the whole tour, which with 30 panos takes over 5 min.

You are right, it is only during testing I will "run" around like that.

Re: Will not update

It is really annoying. Everytime I change something I have to build the tour again to se the changes and here in the test phase I am changing a lot to try things out. Hope this is changed inversion 2.0, because else I am not sure if I am going for this program. It is like editing pictures without be...

Will not update

I have been using Easy Pano 3.0 until now, so I am blow away about the features in Autopano Pro, but during my evaluation I am having a problem, which probably is a user fault. I am on a 6 year old iMac. I made the tour and the build. Then I make some changes (bigger hotspots and a new color), press...

Re: Can drones appeal to the masses?

Yes, and they will. The popular Phantom from DJI has broken the ice. I got two semi pro multi rotors and it is great fun, but very challenging.

Re: Panohead

I shoot 6 + 1 up + 2 down with 180 degrees rotation. With masking it gives me a quite small whole. What I was looking for was to leave out the 2 down shoots and masking, but still maintain the small whole. But as I can read in your fine answer, that is not possible, if I also want a high resolution....

Re: Panohead

I got a NN 3 mk2 and use a 5D2. I saw one where they tilted the camera and I think they used a 8 mm and that way got the zenith too. My reason for the change is that it would be nice with a smaller black whole in nadir, quick setup and being able to leave the lens and use the camera with another len...

Panohead

I got a 4 year old Nodal Ninja and a 15 mm Canon.

I am thinking of getting one of the compact pano heads where it is the lens that is fixed to the rotator. I am looking at 360 and NN.

Will I get better panos?
Will my work be much easier?
Is it worth it?

Best
