Re: 3D

Cheers Kaus, I was going to develop a motorized turntable as well, using a stepper motor to move and stop the turntable at 18 degree increments. This would allow 20 points of rotation on the horizontal plane. I didnt bother, because manual rotation takes less time, and I wouldnt have product weight ...

Re: 3D

Hi Destiny, I built my camera mount system for around $400 Au in materials. Camera's (12 of them for Stereoscopic 3D) $6000 Au HDMI & USB adapters and cabling $200 Au Pretty cheap really, considering it provides 6 adjustable tiers on the vertical plane in Stereoscopic3D. This allows "front ...

Re: 3D

I agree about the Acrobat Reader John. Its never really going to do what I want for so many reason... I guess thats why Adobe gave up on it and sold the 3D part to Tetra4D.. Its a great media for what it does but its limited for the reason it cannot be viewed using a web browser.. My husband did so...

Re: 3D

Klaus, I checked out the 4Pi-VR link you sent. The system I built doesnt have a fixed length from the object/product. I can go as high and as far back as required, though my cameras need to be manually positioned once the "ARC" has been created. I initially thought of using a similar desig...

Re: 3D

Hi Klaus, I understand your point, but simply put, I am a one man show, I do what I can on a very limited budget, in a very defined and limited market. You mentioned a figure of 10000 Euros. That figure is for a totally different demographic, than what I aim at. Currently, I dont have one customer w...

I took it for granted that the Maybe3d was JS... Mine is JavaScipt so it works on ANY platform.. Great on my Samsung Note.. Thats interesting.. I checked out Maybe3d a long time ago but thought I could do better.. They are very expensive too.. I made this up in Flash using Sophie 3D.. You can add t...

It's the concept that's important John and you have provided many options... It's good to that others have the same open minded vision as I have I.. Re: 3D

I recently posted up a 3D Scanned object, but the material map takes a few more seconds to load.. 3D Scanners are getting cheaper and the data can also be used to print the object using a 3D Printer, which have dropped in prince sooo much these past few years.. We printed an object modelled using Z...

Hi Destiny, Wow, Maybe3d is very impressive. Rotational 3D has come a long way in the last couple of years. http://www.maybe3d.com/Public/Info.aspx Any idea how they're scanning the products? I use a series of camera's (12 in total) mounted on an adjustable rig I designed & engineered. The rig a...

Re: 3D

Hi Destiny, I have to say, I don't like negative comments which can take the wind out of the sails of development work. The 80's comment is total BS. Implementing rotational 3D in a Virtual Tour is something my clients would value. Imagine walking around a showroom online, then clicking on a product...

Re: Best Affordable Zoom/Telephoto Lens Option for a D800

Hi Destiny, I purchased a brand new Sigma 50-500mm OS a couple of weeks ago from a Perth retailer. I got it for $1216 Tax Inc, and it has a full 2 year Australian CR Kennedy warranty (not grey import). There is a trick to get it at this price, so message me if you need more info. The Lens is the new...

Re: PTP2 Public Beta 1 x64 Android graphical tearing/glitche

Hello,
Just to confirm that the Android graphical tearing problem reported above, has now been fixed in PTP2 Beta 2.
Congratulations to the Kolor Team, well done!

Note: Tested on HTC One smartphone in Android mode (not desktop mode).

Re: 3d panoramas support

I think Delores35 seems to misunderstand the specifics of Stereoscopic 3D  Anyway, I did post a reference to Stereoscopic 3D in the Vip forum. January this year, I did a test with the kind help of Erik Leeman (the Belgian guy that Hans refers to above). He uses interleaved 3D as the output whic...

Re: PTP2 Public Beta 1 x64 Android graphical tearing/glitche

Hi Benji,
Yes I agree, PTP2 is using the same engine as krpano, thats why I reported the bug.
Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

BTW: did you guys sort out the Audio bug as well? (crashing when you re-load a pano after playing it once?)

Re: PTP2 Public Beta 1 x64 Android graphical tearing/glitche

Hi Benji, No. If you run the Xoticar tour on an Android smartphone (ver 4+), run in desktop mode, it will run fine (except the splash screen is not displayed and the arrow hotspots will disappear if you zoom too much, more bugs). Then disable desktop mode and refresh the page, the splash screen work...

PTP2 Public Beta 1 x64 Android graphical tearing/glitches

Hello Kolor tearm. I did report this previously, but I thought it prudent to report the issue again with the new version. On my Android smartphone (HTC One), I get graphical tearing/glitches in "mobile mode", but it runs fine in "desktop mode" on the phone. http://27.33.137.47/Pa...

Re: Stopping hotspots from moving/rotating?

Bugger,
The workaround doesnt work. You can't put a transparent hotspot over a picture hotspot.

So I'm still looking for a solution.

Re: Stopping hotspots from moving/rotating?

Hi Destiny, Thanks for the tip, but what I'm looking for is to still have the hotspot move with the panning of the panorama, but not move/rotate on it's own hotspot axis. I have added hotspot arrows to direct users to move in a set path, which works well if the arrows are in the center of the screen...

Stopping hotspots from moving/rotating?

Hello, I want to stop the hotspots from moving or rotating when I pan around. I know I can do a workaround like creating a photo hotspot, then adding a transparent hotspot over the top of the photo, but this seems a long winded solution. Anyone have any idea? is there a setting I can add in the xml? J

Re: LivePano and PTgui

Hello, Am I wrong, or am I detecting a bit of agression in this forum? My understanding is that PTP2 is alpha. I would not use it for commercial production (too many bugs that need to be sorted). Stick with version 1.8 for now, unless you wish to assist with bug testing. If Krpano gives you what you...

Re: Stereoscopic3D support

A quick update. I have done a quick (in 5 minutes) Stereoscopic 3D pan of an Aston Martin V12 Vantage. http://27.33.137.47/Panoramic/AstonMartinV12Vantage/AstonMartinV12Vantage.html I haven't cleaned up the misalignments, so please don't expect perfection. Also the lighting was pretty bad (to much e...

Re: You have made great progress

Hello, Just my two cents. I agree with jschrader. Some of the features being developed are quite simply incredible (LivePano is amazing). The direction I believe the development team should have focussed on first, is the most requested features (like cross platform compatibility output via HTML5), a...

Re: Stereoscopic3D support

Hi Drew, Thanks for your positive comments. My test was without calibration of the nodal point, so this meant the stitching was pretty bad (I didnt do any correction at all), and I shouldnt be testing in such a confined space. My work is normally alot better than what was produced in this test (you'...
