Re: Problems with stitching

Kevin: interiors are often empty white walls, without opportunities to create control points. without enough quality control points its difficult to get a good stitch.

Re: Problems with stitching

Since we ruled out sync problems in another thread, it is most likely not enough control points, and running the optimizer. interiors can be tricky, and I would not start with interiors, but rather pick an outside scene to get familiar with stitching 360 video material.

Re: Bad stitches using 6 go-pros + Lens focal lengths

There is no such thing as 'lining up' with a Freedom360 mount. All cameras are always in the perfect place, with plenty of overlap for everything that is further away than an arms length. All you need to do is 'stitch' as GoPro (given you have enough material for control points), and you have a very...

Re: Bad stitches using 6 go-pros + Lens focal lengths

I am not sure what rig you are using, but in order to get a successful stitch from a Freedom360 6-gopro setup, you need to shoot in the following resolutions: - 960P wide (stitched resolution about 4k x 2k) - 1440P wide (stitched resolution about 6k x 3k) - 2.7k 4:3 (stitched resolution about 8k x 4...

Re: Exporting separated cameras w alpha

It is very easy to select the black in each layer in AE, and set it as a mask, making it effectively transparent.

Re: HELP - APV with 360 Freedom fail [SOLVED]

The 360 video player inside the oculus gearVR app plays 360 videos absolutely perfectly, ever since it came out. that's what it is made for. if you are having playback issues, your video may be not adhering to standards, and you may have changed the size from the 2:1 aspect ratio of the equirectangu...

Re: Not the same framerate

did you concat files before you loaded them into AVP?
a couple of apps that offer concatting do actually (randomly) change the frame rate by miscalculating the total run time and number of frames. ffmpeg and mpegstreamclip are known to not introduce such errors.

Re: Why are Stitching angles moving when walking with 360 ri

Yes, rolling shutter can be the problem. In general, you want to mount/move the rig as smooth as possible. small bumps create the most rolling shutter artifacts

Re: Why are Stitching angles moving when walking with 360 ri

Dear Parvez, Issue 1. With the camera on a tripod with not movement, there is slight cut off heads and shoulders. This happening at 10-15 feet away and beyond. Do I have a bad unit that is causing the stitching error. How do I adjust or fix the stitch lines? Parallax errors are inherent in all multi...

Re: Shooting in Cars with 6 x Gopro 4 Silvers, any advice?

We shot car interiors with the Freedom360 (5 and 6 camera configuration)... it takes work and talent, but it is stitchable (see most of Henry Stuarts great automobile interiors in the UK. I do not believe adding more cameras and larger rigs will help any any way, I think it makes things only worse. ...

Re: supported cams? genlock? [SOLVED]

This is one of the advantages of using a F360 rig with the latest GoPro cameras" The Hero 4/3+/3 have frame rates that are set in stone, and show no drift over time. As Martin said, even without genlock, the F360 system will maintain sync, even over longer periods of time (i.e. 3h recordings).

FR: do not normalize the frame sync down to zero [DONE]

In normal circumstances, AVP does always normalize the frame sync to make the lowest frame offset 0, even if the user inputs a number larger than 0 as the smallest offset. My feature request: leave the frame offset as the user has entered them, even if the smallest number isn't 0 Reason: pretty much...

Re: Cant import vision to apv

Make sure you have a new and proper "windows 7 codec pack" installed, once this is done, you should be able to see your videos properly in AVP.

Re: Synced but stitched frames look like junk

From what I can tell, your source footage was shot in the 1080P mode. If you are using a Freedom360 mount with your gopro cameras, you need to switch the cameras into a 4by3 mode, such as 960P, 1440P or 2.7k (new in the Hero4 black) to get a successful stitch. Any project shot in a 16by9 mode while ...

This may be a codec problem with windows: download and install a windows codec pack (i.e. http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_L ... c_Pack.htm). restart, and see if the problem persists.

Re: Manage Little planet projection in after effects

you need to render your 360 from avp in the highest quality/size (i.e. uncompressed avi in 6K). Then buy/install the PixelBender Kernel Accelerator (PBKA): http://aescripts.com/pixel-bender-accelerator/ Then download the Little planet Script/Plugin for Pixel Bender in AE: http://www.subblue.com/blog...

Re: The best Go Pro Hero 3+ settings for Autopano Video Pro?

If you had set all cameras to 1440, but had one camera set to 1080super (with hopefully the same frame rate), you can try to correct the aspect ratio of the 'broken' (1080 super) clip in premiere back to 1920x1440 px. alternatively, you could try stitching it in AVP/APG, and see if you can rescue it...

Re: The best Go Pro Hero 3+ settings for Autopano Video Pro?

as martin said, it is absolutely critical to film in 4:3 mode (1920x1440 or 1280x960), you can not "convert" a 1080P movie that was already filmed to a 4:3, since the stitching-critical pixel are missing.

Re: Sync Issue

Re: seam question

If you are using the Freedom360 mount, you need to switch the cameras to the 1440 wide or 960 wide mode: shooting in 1080 doesn't work, and using the "1080 super view" is also not ideal.

360 preview with AVP 1.6.1

AVP 1.6.1 introduced a new playback method, attempting to show the project in real time. this leads to heavy frame dropping (based on your hardware), and I can't see the all important 'every frame' anymore, which was critical to see frame sync problems. In addition, the play button has become a rand...
