don't compute telephoto lens distortion

I'm currently waiting for a 1500 image panorama to calculate lens distortion. I should have unchecked that step for this project, but it makes me think that it'd be nice to have a setting to automatically skip lens distortion if focal length is over 200mm (or 100mm?)

Re: [suggestion] detect blur in images

Sometimes with a 2x extender (tho atmosphere is probably limiting at that point)
But I'm definitely not trying to get a full sphere, just want to make huge prints, so taking a 50mm equivalent photo as a gigapixel panorama. I do the overlap manually, so I don't know how many pictures left to take.

Re: optimization groups

My original question still stands, I detect panos and autopano stitches it with default settings, it ends up with a number of orphan images and sub panoramas. I go through and add control points back in (by drawing boxes in the control point editor) and I end up with all images connected (after slow...

Re: [suggestion] detect motion blur in images

I too would like this. When shooting gigapans with a 500mm lens even on a tripod sometimes there is camera shake. So de prioritizing the images with blur would be great

Re: sub-panoramas

As I'm still getting tons of sub panoramas in my skyline panoramas (~1000 bracket images shot handheld from various hotel windows around the world) I'd love to be able to see the lists of sub panoramas while I have teh control panel editor window open (pano editor switches to "filter links"...

Re: Enable gopro wizard for Video on HD

Well
with
folders
CAM1
CAM2
CAM3
CAM4
CAM5
CAM6
CAM7

with the folders copied off the microsds on to my hard drive (just renamed 100GOPRO to each CAM#) it says no spherical panorama found (but really quickly, I don't think it had time to actually try and stitch)

Re: Enable gopro wizard for Video on HD

Thanks! It might do what I'm asking since it says "GoPro Omni Importer expects that files are still on SD Cards, however is it possible to locate files already offloaded on hard drive. In this case, you will choose a directory where you have previously offloaded your footage into 6 separate fol...

Feature req: Support pluraleyes .xml or .p4p files for sync

Pluraleyes from red giant is able to sync gopro audio files that autpano cannot. It'd be great to be able to import their .p4p timeline format (it's human readable and computer parseable))
I'm attaching an example.

Re: Enable gopro wizard for Video on HD

I would like to echo this request. I have all my gopro footage already offloaded stored in folders like this Concert1/camera1/gopro0001.mp4. Dragging and dropping folders in to import videos doesn't work, neither does it work in gopro merge. it would be great if merge accepted folders dropped in (an...

Re: file paths, not everything drag on screen

I would go one step further and ask that a folder be able to be drag and drop in to the app, with subfolders having each camera. My offload work flow is to copy 100gopro folder from each microsd card and rename to antarctica_day1_360_1, antarctica_day1_360_2, and so on for example.

raw/jpeg

Since it seems reading raw is single threaded or not easily parallelizable, it would be great to use already created jpeg side car files (like if you shoot RAW+L JPEG in camera) to find the panos in groups, and be able to move photos around in the editor and then use the RAW in final render.

Re: remove stack in context menu

Right now I right click on the circle for the image I want to remove and remove it, it'd be nice to have a right click option to remove stack there, as well as in the layers/images sub panel

also it'd be nice to have the sub panoramas listed when you have the control point editor open so you can re link them. Right now they disappear from the main app's tab

Re: Read metadata from XMP

the problem is that the lightroom algorithms aren't open, so getting the exact same result even when you know the xmp paramaters isn't possible.

Re: [APG 3.0.0 A1 - Win 7-SP1 x64] Crash when out of tempora

Well Autopano has become very stable for me over the years except for when I'm trying to stitch panos on my laptop and I only have 400gb of temporary space and I'm sorting my field photos in to panoramas. I use autopano "browse folder" feature to go through the raw files and make small jpg...

Re: option to not stitch single stack

Well just made the mistake of running pano detection on a folder of 545 images (all bracketed hdrs) and every single stack was detected as a pano. Luckily the 130 panos detected didn't cause a crash! I would like to reiterate the need to specify whether or not a single stack should be made in to a p...

Re: sub-panoramas

or to "move to new panorama" for the whole sub panorama (especially since with bracketed panos, the ones you want to move are in three different layers)

Re: New GoPro HERO4 Session

so rather than debating the price, let's talk about the benefits of having a cube camera gopro or knockoff either. can fit them much closer to together, and hide them in tiny places. and it's cool that the gopro at least is waterproof

Re: New GoPro HERO4 Session

Has anybody tried one of these with 360 video?
I'm wondering if a nice 360 underwater/snorkeling rig could be built with these (more than 6 needed of course because of water acting as lens )

Re: optimization groups

re: what I'm intending, I should have mentioned I will use the render option to prioritize focal length so where there's 300mm data it uses that, and where there isn't it aka the sky, it will use the 100mm.

Re: optimization groups

I shot handheld which has worked perfectly fine in the past. By shooting at a wider angle, you can get part of the mountain in, and much more of the sky, since often autopano isn't able to find control points in the only sky images. Even with that technique you can see that I have the upper left and...
