Very nice pano - it brings back memories. I was there in March 2007 and it is spectacular. My virtual tour of the canyon can be viewed online here: http://www.virtualtourimaging.net/waimeaas3swfs/portfolio-waimea.html The third node of the tour (middle point on the map) is taken from the official vi...

Alexandre -

The control point editor sounds great, and I agree that it is a vital feature for APP to incorporate...

... but am I reading your post correctly - you have a fully working fisheye engine but you are not adding it to v1.3?

Another very nice shot! If I might be so bold as to offer a constructive criticism though: to my eye the HDR downrender has left the land forming the V around the sky looking a bit like you've used too much of the burn tool in Photoshop. You might be able to correct this with a bit of tweaking of th...

If you are handholding you will never get right on the nodal point - dab of nailvarnish or otherwise - but one technique I've occasionally used to get pretty close (within a couple of milimetres) is to hang a plumbline round the lens near the nodal point on a little noose and line the plumb-bob up w...

I've got a panosaurus. It does the job so far as rotating about the nodal point is concerned, but it is not a super-accurate degree-by-degree device. Feels pretty flimsy when you first get it but I've had mine a year and its taken more than its fair share of hard knocks in that time without incident...

Tests with awkward panos

As I am awaiting the Mac version before purchase, I have been playing with the PC demo version. This means that all my panos are watermarked... hence I have not used the software to produce any of my better panos for showing just yet. However, I have been able to use the demo version for a bit of qu...

Main work machine (and the machine I'd be looking to use Autopano Pro on) is OS X 10.4.4 on PowerMac G5 Dual 2.7 ghz,

But I have access to 10.4.4 on a Powerbook G4 1.3 ghz, 10.4.4 rev A iMac G5 and intel iMac elsewhere if useful for testing purposes.

Unless you're desperate for it today, given that Alexandre has previously given the release date for a Mac version as likely to be "the first week in February", you might consider just waiting a few days... ;-)

I'm waiting for a Mac version with baited breath too, so I sympathise completely!

Alexandre, I set a series of 3 different fish-eye panos uploading to your FTP space this morning as I left the house. Hopefully they have successfully uploaded. The three panos are of the Grand Canyon (USA), Yosemite national park (USA) and Grey Hill (Wales). There are readme files for each giving l...

Mac feature request...

I know the Mac version is still in development, but I would find it incredibly useful if Autopano Pro Mac edition supported iPhoto media selection as well as the normal folder structure. As I tend to import all my photos into iPhoto straight off the memory card, not having to export the panos to ano...
