AutopanoGiga3.5.1 for Windows 8.1

Over a year since I last used this forum so not clear where to report this problem.

Have downloaded the 64 bit version of Giga 3.5.1 released 23rd April to install in this Windows 8.1 machine. Am getting error message on installation. 'Installer integrity check has failed'.

I can confirm both behaviours you write about, which have been around in APP/G for many versions now.

Alexandre, since these precede the current bug management system, are these in the current (numbered) issues list?

At this point I think I should say (or confess) that I have a degree in philosophy! Why say this? Because I think there a possible point here that has been missed. I think Alexandre's post is saying that the focal length that the user finds in the data in APG is not an input value but an output one....

Just to clarify a point: KJJones1974, you are saying that you are getting a noticeable difference in the calculated focal length between 2.0.9 and 2.5.0 using the same images in both cases? (So, it seems, the issue is with versions of APG not how you took the images...)

In case it helps... In the past, when I have been testing APG versions for Kolor I have sent scaled-down images to them; where it seems crucial I have re-run the tests against the scaled-down images before sending. I use Picasa to do the scaling. Just confirmed - using Properties in Picasa that EXIF...

I mention, because it might help here, that RC2 contains a new facility to split a group. Way it works is to click to do a right-click on the first image of a second pano. There is a new action 'Split group here'. The highlighted image and all the other images beyond it will be moved to a new group....

Take a single image and make a copy of it.

Then detect both images as a panorama.

I think this should do what you require.

How large are the images you uploaded? Perhaps a glitch but they are taking an age to load.

Note below the message entry box says: "each image must be less then 5000x4000 pixels and 1563 KB"

Just begun testing (Win XP) version of Beta 2 and had a crash.

I agree also. Like to try new features but helps to understand what they are supposed to be doing! Could the Kolor team put together an descriptive overview of the features that are new to 2.5 so users can beta test these with some understanding of what they are testing. Note: know of http://www.aut...

I would like someone else to confrim this but I seem to recall getting this message as one of the (many possible) symptoms of memory getting low. Kolor have done work to improve memory management but haven't removed all the problems.

What new laptop

I am writing this on an Acer Aspire 5920 which has done sterling service but the screen is beginning to blank, as far as I can tell with heavier graphics loading/the gain turned up. The other fact of the matter is that this machine does not support GPU processing in APG but APG does show it as 2-cor...

Any downside to detect>optimize after every image? A general point: in my experience, the more individual processes one does in any session the sooner APP/G crashes, most likely because of memory management problems. A partial solution is, of course, to keep saving the project file as one goes. I a...

Aeriscera, I've not had my EOS7D long so not had a go at AEB in 'M' Mode against APG (2.0.8). With time on my hands in a Scottish B&B I have just done a trial comparing some existing AV Mode AEB shots with some new M Mode AEB. I looked at the EXIF data using ExifToolsGUI. The results are not encoura...

This thread provides the screenshot the other thread ask for.
