disaster area mapping

Alexandre, fyi, I have put together some of the views I obtained from different commercial and non commercial overflights for the purpose of producing maps of land in disaster areas. http://nuit-blanche.blogspot.com/2007/09/but-that-cant-be-its-still-in-google.html Just need a good orthographic proj...

Bummer, it looks like the "people" in Roswell were not happy with our fly-by. We are all annoyed by what happened. http://hasp-geocam.blogspot.com/2007/09/ouch-geocam-fell-into-mud.html http://hasp-geocam.blogspot.com/2007/09/bummer-geocam-is-out.html I also did a small write-up about the potentiali...

Fort Sumner, where the balloon took off is next to Roswell, the balloon was initially heading that way, but the "winds" took it the other way. Sorry :-)

It just landed. http://hasp-geocam.blogspot.com/2007/09/college-station-hasp-has-landed.html
We won't know what is in there, until we get the hardware back which may take two or three weeks. It flew for 19 hours.

C'est un ballon de la NASA, c'est pour cela que cela dure plus de 18 heures de vol et que l'on vole au dessus du nouveau mexique (peu de monde). D'ailleurs on arrive en arizona. J'espere que l'appareil marche (doigts croises).

New stratospheric flight to get a new panorama

we are reflying Geocam that takes snapshot of the ground from 120 000 feet ( http://sei.tamu.edu/geocam/Panoramas/panorama_22-23-50pct.htm ) and we will be using autopano to stitch them together like we did last year. This time, though, you can watch live the view from the balloon at for the next te...

That APP forum could reflect an inexact image of its actual users is a possible issue. I like to think I'm a typical user, because I only want the panoramas to come out properly every time. It is true that I have a reason for wanting such a high degree of reliability, but this should be what Autopa...

I think it is really a non debate to talk about world domination, what is known is that single products that found a good enough of a niche to survive and eventually develop to yield the mega application have done so through some organic growth. By that I mean that they found additonnal niches as th...

some more thought after seeing what Hakkarl wrote. Take some advice from Kathy: http://headrush.typepad.com/creating_passionate_users/ In the app business you seem to be in the disruptive business whereby you start with a small niche market that allows you to fund bigger and better projects (expansi...

I think the issue is that most people asking for new features are the people that are most likely very advanced in their field and see this software as a way to bridge the gap between their average users and more accomplished ones. Let me take an example: when the first geocam (no relation to us) to...

stitckiness of web sites with panoramas

Hello all, I did a very informal study of the stickiness of a web site with panoramas in them and this is what I get. http://hasp-geocam.blogspot.com/2007/01/stickiness-of-panoramic-views.html Does anybody else have some type of data like this ? My sampling number of visits oscillates between 200 to...

Ce n'est pas mon pano mais celui de CMU/Google/NASA. Nous nous ne faisons que des panoramas a partir de ballons stratospheriques avec des moyens, comment dirais-je, plus reduit.
