Many many thanks for your reply! I am on the road at the moment but will try and apply all you have said... In the interim may I further ask for an example of the wait() code and where to insert it in order to achieve the desired function... I am quite happy to have the image open and have no possib...

Use for stitching microscope views

Hi there...

I have a number of photos taken through a microscope of a slide I prepared. The images are exported from special microscope software as .jpg files but APG refuses to allow the images to be added....

Any help?

Export to PSD with layers...

Hi guys Is there a way output a panoramic from APP/APG into a PSD file with all the layers available? I want to try and eliminate some stubborn stitching errors in Photoshop using methods described in the following tutorial: http://www.rosaurophotography.com/html/PS3.html (see section entitled "Patc...

@Mediavets: I was actually referring too longer Sigma 8-16mm

If the company I bought it from cannot source me the 10mm FE soon I'll keep the former.

Just hoping the NPP moves closer to the camera body as focal length increases...

@GURL... Your method works beautifully! I have returned Sigma 8-16mm and await refund before buying the FE... In the interim I have been using your method and have eliminated the "parallax" from 4/6 of the panos taken with said lens! The story behind the taboo preset I'm using: Lens is too long to s...

Again I am greatly appreciative of the assistance this forum offers. Hopefully I will have something to contributed soon!

Tomorrow I will test the Sigma 10mm and forward the results.

(Would still like to know more about your special method GURL)

Optimizing online viewing

Hi there guys

Is there a way to increase the number of block in which the tour can load? My issue arises now as I'm making high res tours for online viewing, and loading times have drastically increased. Additional "levels" of download for given degree of zoom would be great. This possible?

Thanks

Also GURL... I see your RMS looks like 2.22 and mediavets, your is 2.79... What could result in this discrepancy? As for my RMS of 4+!!

Many thanks to you both for your informative replies. I'm curious about this lens! (whether it's better or not than the sigma 8 mm fisheye is a dubious and difficult question.) Anyways the pano is "stitchable" - I don't see stitching error using DevalVR - and the pentagonal nadir is a nice a surpris...

How would you say this lens set to 8mm would compare to your Sigma 8mm lens? (in terms of final panoramic outpu...

Eliminating "parallax"

Requesting help with respect to CP editor... I have taken a set of photos using my new (smiles) Sigma 8-16mm FE lens on a Merlin mount controlled by Papywizard. Mirror lockup -- Solution to my grainy image problem?

Hi guys Is there a role for mirror-lockup in shooting of panos? I'm plagued by grainy images and I'm looking for a solution. Using a 450D, 18mm, Manual mode, ISO100, F-tried them all, AEB +/- 2EV. Shutter times on long exposure shots are sometimes 4-8sec and darker areas there is considerable noise....

Possible to suppress scroll when mouse-over pano?

I have a blog with multiple gigapanos on the main page (which is quite long), and to zoom in deep into a panoramic one needs to scroll quite a alot.
