Rendering percentage and down sampling

What is the best choice when a pano is rendered larger than needed. For example, if I have a 42 image pano that would render @ 100% 80"x32" But I only want 40"x16" 1. I could move the slider in APP to 50% so my output is 40"x16" then do my editing in Photoshop 2. I coul...

Problems stitching night sky

I'm working on a 44 image pano that was taken at night. The problem, part of the sky doesn't stitch, no pixels in the top middle of the pano. I've tried using the "Move Images Mode" and then "Guess Position" I can see the missing portion of the sky, but when I click on the "...

what is ACR? is not sharpening the RAWs better than after all sharpening the "worser" tiff quality? if you enfuse your image stacks with photomatix, why do you than load then into stacks in APG? Georg I find that any sharpening before stitching gives me strange results, it seems to create some kind...

This is my work flow for a HDR pano using Photomatix pro. Using a spherical pano head and a 85mm lens. I shoot vertical columns of 4 to 5 shots. For HDR I shoot 3 to 4 exposures (depends on scene DR) per vertical frame with 30% to 40% overlap (again, it depends on the scene) I do the same for the ho...

This isn't something I did, but here is a link to a pano that used HDR as well as focus staking, finish size was 50 x 114 inches.

I always use 16 bit. But are these 8BIT or 16 BIT? Asher Mr. moose, How big are these 16 BIT files that open so readily in Photoshop. I can't do it except once with a file 3 GB. Thanks for the reply's. Yes, output sharpening is usually done last. But capture sharpening is done before the raw conversion to compensate for the AA filter on the camera sensor and is very modest, but this would be part of a normal work flow for a single image. But HDR blending, and stitching the ...

Stitching HDR pano Question

My work flow for stitching HDR pano's. I now shoot vertical columns vs horizontal rows. I bracket as many raw exposures as I think I need, bring these into Adobe Camera Raw, set everything to zero adjustment, convert to Tif, bring these into Photomatix pro for blending. I use exposure fusion for a m...

I shot said pano the other night, and stacking the focus worked very well. Shooting vertical columns gave me a bit more flexibility over horizontal rows. I ended up with 70 images, 14 columns of 5 images each, but I ended up using only 52 of those. APP v2.5 had problems with this and no matter what ...

Shooting vertical column's vs Horizontal rows and stack the focus.

I have APP 2.5 I'm planning my next pano and I had this idea. There's a classic building on a city street corner that's the main part of this pano, after that, there's about one city block that I want to include. There will be 10 vertical rows with 5 shots per row, all 4 degrees apart. I'll start al...

Exposures blended in Photomatix pro, APP 2.5 doesn't see EXIF data.

I asked this question last week with out a reply. I will try to be more "Clear" this time. For every image I take three exposures for HDR. I run the raw files though ACR and export Tif's with all settings set to zero. ACR isn't changing anything, its just converting the raw file to a Tif. These are ...

EXIF data missing Question.

I just down loaded APP v2.5 and ran my first pano. After loading my images, I noticed that the Exif data is missing from the HDR images I had just ran though Photomatix Pro 4.0. For whatever reason Photomatix doesn't save the Exif data after outputting HDR tif files. Question, how important is the E...

I just upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 as I needed more memory. This is setup as a dual boot with XP pro, so I'll still be able to use AAP v2.08 in Xp. When sending HDR files to APP I've found that they need to be in sRGB color space, other wise the colors that APP renders are not the same.
