Essentially, as yet it seems very hard to obtain several exposures of a stitched panorama that align perfectly. For example, given a panorama made up of 5 images; with each image being bracketed as follows: [...] Key to all this though is that all three panoramas need to be perfectly aligned (i.e. ...

Beautiful work, Klaus. I admire your clean images and well-balanced light and color.

The kuppelraum floor must have been a challenge to stitch. I looked for your reflection in the many glass panes, but you seem to have eluded detection. :)

Wrong output file name will be fixed. Other behaviours are normals: When pictures are not selected in the panorama editor they are not exported (not listed in rendering output). Layers are always exported but can be empty if they do not contain selected pictures. Okay, good to know. I do find it co...

[APG3b2 Mac] Render to embedded layers issues

I’m very happy to see that the canvas size issue when rendering with panorama unchecked has been resolved. However, two issues remain when panorama is unchecked in Render>Exported data. Issue 1: Layers unchecked in Layers Panel are not included in output file. Test 1 1. Open existing file that has...

Hi.. Is there a reason you used Pano2VR for the Tour...? I notice a nice transparent navigation on the right.. Hi Destiny, I started using P2VR several years ago and have enjoyed using it’s skin editor. At that time Panotour customization required editing xml files. I haven’t tried the latest v...

Pacific Rim National Park, Vancouver Island, Canada

Here’s a new Flash tour of sixteen ocean, beach and rainforests landscapes. http://www.judyarndt.ca/pacific2012/pacific_rim.html I used APG 3 beta 2 to stitch the panoramas. I love the new mask markers. Just a click of the marker and my worst lens flares are gone forever. This is great for shootin...

issue 1510 opened In our case, if we change the "canevas size" we can get all pictures well positioned. How do you change the ‘canvas size’? On a new pano with two full layers, stacked, under ‘Crop’ I clicked the ‘Spherical’ button. Then I rendered to PSD/layers/pictures/embedded (panor...

[APG 3 B2 Mac] Cropped pano with embedded layers, pics

This bug was present in APG 2.6 and is still with us. I’m stitching some seascapes with non-matching lines of surf. I put a few extra images on a separate layer named ‘surf’ to use in case they’re useful to patch the surf. Output to PSB, spherical, layers and pictures, embedded. ‘Panoramaâ...

I’m happy to report that APG 3 Beta1 is working beautifully on my Mac Pro with an NVIDIA graphics card. After a half-dozen panos made with fisheye images, everything works. I’m one of the Mac users unable to run APG 3 Alpha 2 with GPU processing enabled. I get the error message, “The shader program can’t be compiled.” I’ve installed the latest CUDA driver for my NVIDIA card. The “TestOGL” utility displays all test images correctly. My computer is only thr...

Hi Judy-A - Love your web site! Very new to panoramic photography... I have Just purchased a new VR Drive II, still in the box. My new Nikon D4 should be arriving in the next week or so. Hi Alfonso, Thank you for your kind comments on my panoramas. If I undesrtand your approach you shoot aobut 9 images in total, 4 or 6 images at -10º + 2 up at +60º + 1 handheld image for the nadir. Yes, that’s correct. When I started making panoramas, I thought that taking as few pictures as pos...

Hi alsal, I use the Samyang 8mm on a Nikon D5000, which is also an APS-C size sensor. What is your usual subject matter? I mostly shoot landscape panoramas, 4 or 6 around at –10˚, 2 up at +60˚ opposite each other. I also shoot a nadir image off the tripod, handheld or using the Nodal Ninja nadir...

I’m so confused! In Bridge, my tonemapped images from Photomatix display a resolution of 72ppi, but when I open them in Photoshop, they’re 300 ppi. It looks like there’s an error in in EXIF of these images. Changing the resolution of an edited image to 72 ppi does not solve the reload problem ...

Hi Alexandre, I tried again with the same set of images and got the PARDISO error again. The entire set of 16-bit TIFFs, edited and unedited versions, was too large for me to upload. [APG 2.6.0 RC1 Mac OSX] Image refresh after reload

The new reload button in the layers panel is convenient. However, because the preview does not immediately refresh, there’s no immediate feedback that the new versions of the images have actually reloaded. One has to zoom in quite far in the editor window to force an image refresh. It would be pre...

[APG 2.6.0 RC1 Mac OSX] Lock up and file corruption

I had big problems on my first pano made with APG RC1. Nine fisheye images, 16-bit TIFF. I had deleted control points in the clouds, re-optimized, edited a few of the images (in Photoshop) and reloaded. Saved. Deleted one of the sky images. Upon optimization, APG RC1 locked up. Nothing could be edit...
