Felix. - what is wrong with Your old motherboard? Something (what?) not work? At first I've played so long inside the arm so I shortened something and buned up the motherboard (by inbuiding BT module). With the new motherboard I've had this "half more degrees problem" and random constant-rotation f...

Could you be precise, please? What do you mean in detail? Can you prove your statement mathematically? I've measured the horizontal view angle (one point at left - the same point at right and PW showed 128.8° and from known sensor sizes I've counted the diagonal 159.5°. All rough. For this value TC...

I've played with diagonal angles for 10mm and here are the results: From diagonal angle 169° to 161° TC calculates preset 6 shots at 0° + zenith (I cannot see the base plate). For diagonal angle 160° TC calculates best preset :):D:lol: 6 shots at -9° + 6 shots at +1 + zentih. On the image down you c...

It looks like I'm out of troubles. I remebered that on the old motherboard I have had connected pins (on image). On the new motherboard it wasn't nor on returned head from service.
I shortened the pins and the problems are gone.

I'd rather enter what the lens really shows in real conditons on my body = what I see through the lens on my body. I know that on 10mm it isn't 180° diagonal, I figure that is around the 168° maybe less and on 17mm I'm sure it isn't 100° but the little 2° over the 90°. Why the TC DOESN'T calculate w...

Yoe need what the lens provides natively! I've entered angle what the lens provides natively. The angle is THAT what it covers for real not what the manufacturer has on its web. On 10mm it is hard to estimate the real angle, but I'm sure that is NOT 180°. On 17mm I clearly see that diagonal angle i...

"The Tokina AT-X 107 NH is a fish-eye lens that gives the digital photographer an approximate 180° field of view" from Tokina. That means: it´s supposed to have 180° diagonally. So why did you set 168°? best, Klaus http://lenshero.com/lens/Tokina-AT-X-107-DX-10-17mm-f3.5-4.5-Canon-ef-lens or bette...

Now I've tried it with serial cable from PC PapyWizard to Merlin and everything is the same. One and half angle multipliers.
Why the hell are the angles OK with T&C handcontroller and with PW not? That's a mystery to me.

Ok - if you would use a custom-style preset: where would you get it from? How would you generate a pattern for your individual setup to feed it to the controller? I'll take PW presets for Tokina 10mm and it's done. There are 4 of them: 4x-30° + 4x30° 6x -30° + 6x30° 6x 0° + Z + N (zenith and nadir ...

When my fisheye digonal angle for 10mm is 168° (horizontal 135° (portrait > vertical)) then is sure that 6 shots at 0° + zenith covers not vertical 180°. I can see the corner of silver case at -4° and whole at around -9°. Why the TC doesn't precount the 6 at -10° + zenith? My lens is here - http://w...

When you say 'this is not covering full sphere' do you mean you end up with holes in areas other than the nadir? When I render the 10mm pano it covers 360x159°. Perhaps you have selected the wrong value? How did you determine the value of 168 shown in the screenshot? http://lenshero.com/lens/Tokina...

### Half more degrees problem

Hello there, I please everybody for a help. My Merlin moves around half more degrees then the PW shows (I am connected from N800 or PC to Merlin through Kolor BT module). For example on N800 I move the head with the ondisplay buttons vertically 30° but the head moves 45°. Horizontal 90° moves the he...

### T&C handcontroller troubles

Hello there, I have problem with T&C handcontroller (Tokina 10-17mm FE on Canon 550D). From 10 to 14mm I am not able to shoot full 360x180 pano. On 10mm it takes 6 photos at 0° and a zenith. But this is not covering full sphere panorama. On 14mm it takes the photos also at 0° and the nadir hole is m...

The Merlin version is indicated by the f...

I've successfully upgraded my firmware from 02.05.81 to 02.06.81!
I've upgraded Merlin over real HW serial port. My father modified Bitchmouse card cracking module for my needs.

I was totally agreed with the Tokina. But after reading the two posts and mainly the review on both lenses - http://www.lenstip.com/160.4-Lens_review-Samyang_8_mm_f_3.5_Aspherical_IF_MC_Fish-eye_Image_resolution.html and http://www.lenstip.com/19.4-Lens_review-Tokina_AT-X_107_AF_DX_Fish-Eye_AF_10-17...

Hi Felix, In your place I will take the "Tokina 10-17 3.5-4.5 AF DX Fisheye" and not the "Tokina AF 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro DX" who is a wide angle ... With the FE 10-17 you will need less pics for "spherical pano" ! What the Samyang 8mm? Which lens is beter? Samyang 8mm or Tokina 10-17? Sorry for m...
