Re: Google Killed Virtual Tours for Virtual Tour Photographe

..... Secondly and most disturbingly who owns the platform on which we all rely. Google will not let a business upload panos to "Google Places" "Google Plus" etc unless they have been taken by a "Google Trusted Photographer" for any business its any easy choice inferio...

Re: Google Killed Virtual Tours for Virtual Tour Photographe

While I wholeheartedly agree and place a positive spin myself on the whole Google involvement, 2 points that are difficult to overcome, firstly Google is global as such it is perceived as a recognized brand and all that goes with that label, try telling a customer that you provide a better product t...

Hi mediavets, the map one is not online I binned it as it was just to test on iphone. Will send you a desktop version which is almost identical again just a test.
Some limitations with using the MAP but works well for this project to give a planar interactive tour on i devices.

Basically used the MAP function to display the flat image with interactive hot spots, Map full screen on start ,close map full screen interactive spots show different view states all functions on desk top and ipad. No need for planar or partial pano which obviously doesn't display on ipad .

Thanks mediavets
My intention was to wait until the release of PTP2 before upgrading but I have a job that would benefit from the ability to use planar in i devices , is the partial pano projection also unavailable on idevices?
Many Thanks

PTP 2 Beta Testers

Hi
Could I ask if any tester of PTP 2 can clarify if there is now the ability to display partial panoramas or planar projection in i devices.
Many Thanks

That sounds like a recipe for disaster, how will hotspots ever match up when you change to a different image, and a complex tour of unpolished images then swap out for polished ones! work flow issue there. This can be done in PTP anyway just rename your new image the same and make sure it is in the ...

Like the concept not just as a momentary transition but stretch it out to convey the feeling of a journey or to impart secondary information , progress shots inside a building starting with pano of a derelict area, use a few minutes of speeded up footage of the construction to take you to the pano o...

Hi Bob I think this was aimed at me rather than Klaus, not sure but here is my solution, if you create a link to your pano from a page using "_self" this will open your pano tour in the same window, you would then return using your back button on your browser alternatively the use of a hotspot in PT...

Hi Bob If I understand you correctly this is already available within the present functionality of PTP, follow the link http://www.shepherdsnursery.co.uk/ click on the tour and once it loads you will see a "home time" graphic ,bottom right on tour window, click this and it takes you back to the page...

Hi
You might want to check stitching as it is also an issue in the panos I looked at.

Hi Jean-Pierre, If I understand you correctly then I have a similar requirement and hope my solution is of some help , within a museum tour there are some paintings which I have made clickable to show just the painting with a descriptive narration. In order to do this within PTP I have added the pic...

Put together a quick pano to show as concept of what might be done and noticed that the sound faded when panning round, as it was simply to demonstrate a pano I haven't got back to it but was puzzled that there were to settings for the directional sound. The horn, accelerator, and radio all have sou...

Hi Jarane
My understanding is that you can only view single panos linked hotspots will not be functional due to limitations, see the krpano site http://krpano.com/iphone/

Odd behaviour!

APT 1.07 Problem After requesting a select all function for hotspots/pano in "THE FUTURE" forum Adrien suggested CtrlL+A which initially appeared to do the trick and allowed Global settings for panos and hotspots but now I find that if I insert the panoramas list one particular pano, I suspect it ma...

Thanks Adrien, yes never really thought but Ctrl A works fine.
Thanks also Klaus, purpose of purchasing Autopan Tour was to ascertain if have some elements of what I do can be built through an almost automated process without the need to code anything or alter any code, its a work flow thing.

Hi Mediavets Sorry maybe I didn't make my request particularly clear, my requirement would be the ability to select all hotspots or panos as a single command in order to apply the same function to each and every hotspot/pano within the tour, for example all transitions to be the same. At present wit...

Large number of panos in tour

Presently working on a tour that will contain approx 30-50 panos when finished and a larger number of hotspots. At present multiple panos or hotspots can be selected with the use of "Ctrl" but it would be very handy to have a "select all hotspots" and "select all panos" as a single function rather t...
